Thank you so much for the offer! I'm hoping for some very soon. My LC's I made for my cordyceps look good so far but it's only been a day. This oyster has made a little cloud though. I'll put up a pic later when I actually feel warm enough to crawl out from under my blanket. It's exciting! I haven't seen mold except pin mold that grew from some mycelium I tried to clone from a sawdust block and this slightly yeasty g. sessile plate which was old as dust to begin with.

I'm not too worried about alkaloid degradation since I'll be using dark glass. If I really felt inclined to do so I could get bottles instead and use o2 absorbing caps.
This is more out of curiousity than anything, I highly doubt any tea I make will sit around long lol
TBC, you have every right to be pissed. I would've flown off the handle already, I don't do well with people screwing around with me like that.
Problem with growlers is the shape. The neck freezes and makes a plug then the water under it can pop the glass as it freezes even with a loose cap in narrow neck bottles.
Mason jars are made to be frozen with liquids in them but you have to leave appropriate space.
Makes sense, I'll just use growlers for short term storage and festi transport then and jars for long term. Since I'm doing truffles most of the time I'll just let them age, but it would be nice to have some tea on hand.
30min boil with truffles is the only way I've not had problems with nausea, I can eat cubes like popcorn but truffles rip my stomach apart, even shorter boil times gives me nausea.

Every time I've shattered a jar in the freezer it was because there was slight pressure on the side

Oh and just so you know it's not the same place I got my Cordyceps culture from. I don't want you mistakenly thinking it was some other guy. Also I got my cordyceps from a guy who got his culture from him and he only had me pay for shipping and materials because it was more of a favor and I was super broke and he already had a bunch of plates going.

Posting again the one on the right has bacteria and the start mold it looks.
The left far less bacteria. No mold.
Still not sure where I Fucked up. At least on the left one. Watched this like 3 times.
Any recommendations.
Assuming your Poly is in tight enough to stop falling contaminants, there's a few things I'd recommend:
1. Don't pull on the Poly to lift the lid up. I can't see that helping anything and you're likely agitating the barrier between contaminants and your agar.
2. I'm assuming you wiped the jars down before this and are only using the towel to turn the rings. If not, wipe them down properly.
3. After you wipe them, you constantly put your hands over the jars. Even if you're gloved up, try not to put your hands over anything, especially when you're touching shit in between, like other jars, your rack, etc.
4. Put the lid back on slower. I could see that kicking shit up.
5. Make sure you have the ring turned all the way before you try and pull the ring/lid off.
6. Even when I'm taking a ring off, I try not to put my finger over the lid/SFD. I just use my index and ring or thumb to turn from the side. And if the lid is tight, I'll often wipe around it once the ring is off.
Check out the video in my signature for me doing G2G. You can see the distance I keep between my hands and my jars, as well as the slower motions I'm recommending when opening/closer jars.
I just finished watching your video actually
I'll post another one tomorrow night. I like how you lift your lids. I wouldn't feel comfortable putting the lid back on an lc tou.

I used to pour LC's pretty much the same way Stare does in his vid, with the exception that I only introduce one grain jar at a time in the SAB. Then I started pouring the whole LC into a blender bottle for pouring, that makes life much easier for me.

I can't find a blender bottle that has both pp5 lid and bottle.
Look like a fucking crack head at Walmart. Checking every single bottle

Really? Have you checked in sport nutrition shops? They always carry them in my area, cheap and PP5. Anyway I understand that the idea of pouring the whole thing into a blender bottle is not everyone's piece of cake. I never had a problem, but in theory you risk getting some contamination when you pour the whole LC into the bottle. It's kind of a trade-off between risking a little initially and making it much easier and safer for you aftewards, since the narrow spout of the blender bottle allows you to pour accurately and quickly while you just crack the lid of the grain jar a tad.

Brilliant mushboy. Never thought of that.
Yeah josex I even found the one you use specifically. Euro product I don't wanna pay for the shipping.
Most bottles here are pp #5 but the cap is usually hdpe #2 or 3
