That worked out perfectly, hydration level and all.  Must wait for one more thing to become complete, then Tek will be read to be released.

Excited to see what you have in store. Your whole oats and WBS teks have been pretty damn helpful for someone starting out.

What grain are you referring to ham?

1 of 2 more grain prep teks that I have in store.

Said grain prep Tek is freakin' nailed shut.  Just have to wait for something to be completed before it's release.

After that I'll do a painfully stupid, simple whole oat prep Tek version 2.0 without the additives.  :yesnod:

I just prepped my Kamut berries and I've gotten pretty good over the years at getting the water content right. Kamut is almost identical to rye berries, but they're slimmer and required long soak and simmer times. I pour the berries in a plastic folgers coffee container full of weak coffee and gypsum. The mycelium seems to tear through it like crazy.

I need some opinions, my wbs has little chunks of peanuts throughout it , do you think some one could get an alergic reaction from eating mushrooms grown from that spawn?

I guess it´s possible that someone can ingest a tiny piece of peanut that came from the substrate and on the fruits. But I don´t think that the stuff that causes the reaction is preserved in the fruit body after consumption .

Look up what's. In peanuts that cause the reaction

I made glucose water for my LC. It's my first one. Do you think glucose water is enough. I'm going to try cube myc too in it tonight.

Not enough for more than a little growth. Eventually organisms need more than just simple sugar.

I left a little bit of the agar attached to them. I am going to transfer it to something more complex. I might add a little bit of peptone and yeast extract to the mix next time so it has a carbon and nitrogen source. I also made some backup plates so I can try again.

I started working with hard white wheat yesterday & really liked the results.  I may never go back to wbs, rye or oats after this due to less mess, less smell & no weevils.

So is one hole in the center for inoculation an acceptable substitution for pftek?

I would say yes, but with spore solution I would still use 4 innoc points to increase chances. With lc I see no problem with a single hole

I only use one hole with tyvek, but I also inoculate with agar.

I have 3cc's left of a Brazil syringe, I wanted to expand it to like 3 syringes and try pf Tek again.  Maybe I'll try both ways and see what happens.  I just didn't want to have to make lids
