Blue Oyster LC to whole oats.
1 qt. of that spawned to fuel pellets using Lipas fuel pellet tek.
Have them in a 4x4 GH that I'm still trying to dial in 100%, but right now I have lights on in it 12 hours everyday, two ultrasonics running 24/7, and a fan blowing air in, and a fan blowing air out 24/7.

Anyone who thinks co2 doesnt sink should read this. The reason it doesnt sink in a tub is because of air currents, but i assure you... it sinks. Lake Nyos Disaster

That'd be awesome, but your definitely right, will probably lose the color as they mature.

I'm debating on cutting holes in my gh like a monotub and try to use micropore tape to dial it in.. May take a little while to figure it out... The gh takes up too much space in my bedroom and I don't plan on running my fan and shit 24/7

Pink oyster mycelium will die if the temp goes below 10-12°C.
Hey Ferather just an FYI... P. salmon definately does not die in cold storage even at 1-4 degrees C.
I have lots of it and it revives just fine.

I've heard color loss can be caused by insufficient light, warmer temps, and somewhere I saw someone say too much light. I believe it's caused by insufficient lighting and maybe having temps on the warmer side. Whatever process they use to produce pigment, I'm sure slower growth via colder temps will help pigment production.
I've even seen them regain color after harvest. I'll post a pic in a sec that one of my customers sent me.

Are you prepping with heat? Try just soaking it, that’s what I do.
Fooman’s prep always ends up with clumpy and overly wet grains for me

Yeah, my latest batch with hamloaf's method wound up clumping a lot. I'm breaking them apart right now before inoculating. I'll have to pick out a bunch of the corn like ham said, I guess. Man, I fucking HATE WBS, lol. Going to try and buy more oats tomorrow.

I can agree with that. I Even had the pinks freeze by accident and they still came on back

I'm currently having the lady friend separate the good from the bed in my WBS, lol. My pasta colander has properly sized holes to swirl the birdseed around and separate the corn and sunflowers from everything. Going to shower and noc up the last WBS right quick with some LI and hope it's clumping doesn't make the myc's job too difficult.
Also the pelleted gypsum I bought won't fucking dissolve in water!

Well I don't know which one I had, Pleurotus djamor or Pleurotus salmoneo. The label said "Do not store below 10°C", and it died when I did.
Found this on Google, Pleurotus salmoneo-stramineus.

So did I, until you posted and then I Googled it, I have no idea whats what with Pinks to be honest, lol. My vendor sent me generically labelled "Pink oyster", plus the warning, and the outcome.
Cant say other than that, So I apologize, correction: Not all Pinks.

Took some photos of my tub and I hope I can get some feedback: 1:4 rye to cvg, day 12. This is not 100%,right? Am I assuming correctly that colonization is slow bc of ratio or temps, or now that I say that many factors?
