If a colonized rye jar looks clean and smells good (I've never smelled a rye jar, though), is their still a possibility of a contam hiding in the jar? That could effect the bulk and future?

Yes there is a possibility, but the risk is low if the jar colonizes in time and looks and smells nice.

Thanks Mateah! Thats a confidence boost. With the low temperatures in my house the process from MS syring to agar, the 5 transfers and now to grain has taken a very long time... I'm ready to get these to bulk!
