Hey mushboy, when you go to the parents farm and get hpoo, you load up right?
How long can you store it for?

Says the noob? Everyone can see your registration date, you know that right???

You can grow for 20 years and you can be a noob. I wouldn't judge experience or knowledge based on a reg date, that's a very noobish thing to do, again.
So true. There's farms that grow hundreds even thousands of pounds a week and the people running it are clueless. They know how to mix spawn that they purchase with limed straw and cut holes in a bag and pray.
The farm i went to on a tour last buys spawn and originally tried to g2g it to make it go further and decided it wad impossible task hahaha

I think some scotch tape after it drys would solve the jars failing but idk why you'd keep them that long.

I like that idea Mushboy, with Tyvek under the tape.
@Josex, how do you keep the polyfill from getting wet? Or does it matter?

Neighbors farm. But id just gather. Store outside. Hydrate and mix it up by hand. I stored it until i used it up and got more. Maybe a few months? Its been awhile.
Hpoo+verm is an amazing exfoliator too. Smoothest hands ever...

The only thing I put foil over these days is my media bottle or when I'm making blenderless li since I leave it a little loose so it doesn't crack.
I use polyfil for all my jars these days and haven't had any problems with not using foil.
@Invader Zim polyfil comes out of the pc dry

I use a sterilizer (I think it qualifies) and it seems to get lids wetter than a different pc'er would, even with foil over the lids. I think if I tried polyfill it would let in too much water during pc'ing?
I bought this off kijijj from an old lady who said it was her mother's, so it's probably older than shit. Can anyone confirm what model it is? Holds 7 quarts or 14 pints. Thanks in advance, I've been curious about it, they don't make them like this anymore.

I still get water on the lids but the polyfil is dry, if anything my jars come out a little dryer than they were going in but I have a t-fal not an AA so that could maybe make a difference?
Even when I rinse my lids off after use the polyfil doesn't get very wet, it's not as absorbent as you'd think.

Someone in Iceland was protesting against homelessness and hunger and boiled some stones to make stone soup. The stones had lichen on that turned out to be psychedelic. Could be growing all around us. Lichen are half fungus, half plant. I think they started as a symbiotic relationship and at some point merged.

Lichen are fungus + bacteria. They're still symbiotic not merged. In fact the bacteria and fungi can be separated and they will grow like they normally do by themselves. The symbiotic creation is a lichen. They appear like plants sometimes but are not fungi+plants

Unless the filter ducts are freakishly small and the path of least resistance is the imperfect seal of the lids air/gasses entering through the imperfect seal won't be a problem. Air/gas always takes the path of least resistance.

The imperfect lid seal is far less resistance than a filter. If water comes out of your jar flipping it lol.
The flow dominants the path of least resistance but flow still travels thru all paths.

damn dude. thats a beast of a PC. save that bitch. all american baby
next time i do a batch of jars ill take pics of what mine look like even when i use foil. its always wet as f underneath. i never understood why it was really recommended for grain jars. because every run ive ever done.. take foil off? wet as shit.
again, i thought i was doing something wrong but one time i completely forgot the foil. didnt notice until i was taking them out to do the next batch. and i was like .. 'lol the lids look the same' so i wiped them off with a paper towel and kept it rolling. same works with pastyplates. not wrapping in foil or the paper towel thing is awesome.
thats why i like tyvek sqaures with MP tape layers. everyone has stories about filter/lid failure. .. well not everyone

I only use foil on media bottle these days. If your moisture content is wrong its operator error. Either in spawn prep or lid manufacturing.

The imperfect seal is not far less resistant than the filter ducts. No flipping.
Correct, the flow will take the path of least resistance.

Lichens are fungi w/ a photosynthetic organism, usually algae or a cyanobacteria(also known as blue green algae), or sometimes both.
