i dont think me and hatters view point is that different tho. i just think we are using different mind sets and theories to reach a common goal.

yes the topic has, but not the subject. which in my eyes is a much bigger picture. the overall subject is how we define the rules vs what we share and experience as a collective group.
cause as time goes on, the collective results here seem to overwhelmingly disprove maany 'facts' time and time and time again.
so why treat anything differently?

So aspergillus does not eat mycelium but trich does? So that would make trich distinguishable from aspergillus even without a microscope?

I know what you're thinking, but no, everything is trich even when it's not. The other types of mold still produce toxins, and illnesses.
Also, you don't want spores flying everywhere.

why not?
like seriously? when its nice i open my windows for nice air.
how many spores are introduced and flying everywhere in philly on a nice 60F day like yesterday was? and it was trash day so the streets where filled with rotting garbage. now my room is a fucking spore rave...??
like its ever been an issue before? i put tubs outside sometimes like bod mentioned once. philly is a nasty place too. no moldy tubs though
unless my spawn was wonky... (again. making the point that clean spawn makes all those spores irrelevant, so stop thinking about it)

Well, if you have a grow area, or tent you wouldn't want spores flying everywhere inside. It could be a case of you have a large grow room, which is difficult to clean.
Even with a more hobby based grow, I wouldn't want to add more. Again it's up to you what you do in the end when fruiting.

I actually think opening the windows helps get some of that shit out. I have a theory that mold spores concentrate in some of our homes during winter, due to lack of air exchange like say in spring or fall. Trying to keep ones home clean is not a bad practice. Just because some people got the skills to grow in a dumpster doesn't mean we all do. Fuck I wish I could open the windows today now, lol.

Might have to try something on agar, I'm sure a constant cycle of wind would produce more spores in a defined area over [X] minutes.

Well if you held up a sheet of air filter, and stood indoors for say 5 minutes and counted the captured spores. Then you went outside, with at least some air movement, then held up the filter for 5 mins.
Theoretically over the 5 minute duration the outdoor count should be higher.

I just purchased some strip LED light (6500 k) and a 10,000 mAh battery to power it for my tubs. Anybody know if something like that can last 8-12 hours? the stripping is adjustable so i could cut off some if its sucking up too much juice. no outlet in my closet

Static vs dynamic spores, you might have 10x the number of spores in your house than outside. But unless those spores are in the air, the typical count you will get-detect is lower.
I agree indoors, you should see less spores getting to your grows. I would still rather not add to the pool of spores.

my house is already a pool of spores. bread will mold in under 24hrs if left out. like be almost covered. it gross. but so is leaving food out
so what could i be adding to the pool that would 'tip the scales'(my words)to make the pool more dangerous ?
cause NO way in hell would i be able to open air fruit anything if the current spore count was relevant. using my nasty bread as an example of something that openly contams quickly.

and i have the most god awful pouring skills known to man but nothing ever ever.. EVER contams from me pouring.
in my nasty fucking house. where bread molds in -24hrs, juice will grow multicolored skin, cat box will mold.. but my trays made with clean spawn dont?? and neither does my agar.
so why should i care about my sporeload/pool? i am not using a greenhouse. im growing cubes not blocks of edibles.

It could be what type of mold spores that plays a part.
Really trich is the only one that is a concern to me now. I am at least making it 1-2 flushes before it shows up.

Possibly the PH.
Next time I prep some I want to do some test with it to see if it will mold on its own.
