Still, people actually just being rude for no reason can go fuck themselves. You gonna be a dick, you better eloquently explain why.
I think you very often point things out in rude ways that don't add to the discussion. And frequently whatever you're pointing out isn't even informative or helpful. I can understand the gripes with bod, but he's usually at least answering a question when he's a bit abrasive. With you, it's just being super pedantic with a snarky overtone or plain being an asshole. I mean, how does this help anything? It doesn't. And I think this attitude makes the forum worse because others will think it's alright. Sorry to single you out, but I've noticed you doing it a lot over the years. We've had our little spats, so I don't want you think I'm attacking you or anything. I do think you have lots of knowledge to spread and are probably still more knowledgeable than me, I just see you being kind of a prick often.

Idk I think it helps someone think for themselves. People seem too timid to even judge their colonization percentage. which is asinine. Fucking look at it and guess. If its all colonized its 100%

I think it's more likely to make a person not want to seek help because the so-called respected posters and TC's are going to shit on them. Everyone learns differently and has different experiences, despite their registration date. It also doesn't help the people reading who might not know what full colonization is when they see a reply like that. Either way, that post is obviously not the only instance of that kind of response so I don't want to get too hung up on the context of it. Just my $.02.

I'd rather see good advice said in a dickish way over bad advice said to make the person feel better. That's my $0.02. This is why I back up the right answers and don't even comment on their delivery unless the op is being derp. What matters to me is information.

Sure, if we're adding another option to the discussion, which is bad advice in a nice way, I agree. I was talking about just saying rude shit that adds nothing to anything. The example I used wasn't any advice at all, just a dickish comment, of which he has 3895775453 and I personally feel it makes the board worse off. It takes less effort to not comment at all. Oh well.

calling dickishness out on the spot stops it cold without making it out to be a bigger communal problem than it really is. Mush cult is blessed to have a dichotomy of knowledgeable personalities on both sides of the spectrum.

I dont think even 3 out of 10 people continue with this hobby when they try it. 99% of all questions relate to new growers not following a simple instruction, what they should be told would be that this isnt a fast lane to shroomland, it takes a lot of work. People just dont get it .

You know what? I have to completely agree with this. If there's anything I've learned from the mushroom its that everything has its place. The good the bad and the ugly. Maybe the negative responses I've been complaining about are just a nessisary evil that give us the full picture. I really am thankful for everyone that was hard on me and everyone that encouraged me along the way. Cause at the end of the day I wouldnt be anything near the cultivator that I am today without this community and all the roles that take part. This is why Im not much of a complainer haha sorry for raising the issue. I'll just continue doing my part. Everything will work itself out the way it's supposed to

There was probably twice the amount in that pic that I tossed out and that came from 13 pint jars of WBS I was prepping out of a 40lb bag so I am sure I weight adds up in the end but oh well I am going to get some oats soon just been to lazy to go out and get it when I can just grab WBS while I am shopping at walmart

It's actually what they use to chew their food. Without teeth they have to store pebbles in their gizzard to break up their food

Amscope has a great selection. You can basically build/get any configuration you want from them. Take some time and give the site a complete look over.
