No problem. I have 9 jars of oats I inoculated with ATL7 LI a few days ago that are picking up speed. Good luck

It should assuming it's not treated with fungicides, since they're selling as seed and not feed it might be treated. If you live near any feed stores I'd check them out first. I picked up a 50lb bag of feed oats for $7, beats waiting for it to show up in the mail IMO.

Apparently we both missed that lol. Best bet is hit up some feed stores, shouldn't be too hard since like 90% of Ky is farmland lol, I use to live in Ky when I was little.

I didn't really know where to post this, but I figured general discussion is a good fit.
Uhhhgh I'm sorry guys. I'm not one to really complain about shit but something has been bugging me more and more around here lately. I've been seeing a hell of a lot more snarky unhelpful responses lately to noobs asking fairly simple questions.
For me, fairly simple questions deserve fairly simple answers and that's not what what I'm seeing out there. Instead I'm seeing noobs bombarded with unhelpful advice, alternative or advanced methods, and just plain dickheadishness.
I understand when a noob gets harassed because they come in acting like they know whats what and has nothing to learn. But I'm talking about people asking for simple advice and getting shit help from members that I know have a lot more to offer than a sneer response.
I know many of you are answering the same questions over and over and it can get monotonous. But if you have nothing helpful to add then why bother responding? It would be nice to see a lot more educated and thoughtful advice in the new year. That's all

Has anyone been able to get ps cyans to germinate on agar? Having no luck here.
How would y'all go about using a ps cyans spore syringe?

I roginally tried pf tek method with them, 6 weeks later nothing happened.
Agar I've tried 2 plates, nothing happened after 2 weeks.
All the other syringes I got for other strains worked just fine though.

I agree with this. Alot of people come askig for advice and some people are asses because they have repeated the same things over and over. I get it.
But I think the know it alls should receive dickhead responses depending on the situation.
Alot of people see us as being total asshats (depends).
There should be some easier way to access information because I keep seeing the same dam questions. For whatever reason they can't find it is beyond me because it's out there.
I know our mods have been working on cleaning things up to decrease the amount of simple questions.
We all have been a noob before.

I haven't gotten on any noobs for anything like that in a bit. Is someone really being a dick in a totally nonhelpful way or are we defending shitty thread starters here? I know SOME FOLKS around here tend to look for people with bad ratings who are commonly disliked and act like they just got dealt a bad hand and like to be their "second chance savior" or whatever, where everyone else must be the ones that're irrational. I think those particular folks like to inflate their ego in the opposite way, by needlessly being "The good guy" when the recipient is not at all deserving.

If someone says something about using popcorn and some tc says pick a different grain some people find that to be mean... If that's the case consider that the internet may not be the place for you. If you ask a dumb question that has an easy to look up answer you don't necessarily get a thoughtful response or the reasons behind the answer. If you're going to use corn you should be smart enough to figure out its frowned on but plenty of people have used it successfully.
The people that want to scoop up the scraps of people that can't bother to help themselves can go right ahead.
