Hard to describe. Unpleasant but not gross.

Should isolate it and see what it does. Might give you a better idea of what it is.

Basically but its not very cobweb like. And the colonization was stunted before it showed up. Even at day 3-4 i knew there was issue likely since it wasn't half way done.

Hey bod can you take a look at the pics I posted on page before this and tell me what you think of the plates and the growth on the edge please. I am not sure if it's a contam but I showed up days before the myc did

It's the growth on the edge of the plate

For what its worth i still have some coir residue in both my water cooler and 50quart cooler. Neither are contaminated with anything. And i was grabbing handfuls out of them both to make all the tubs. And its not dried out either.
So if its in the air or was on me it didn't fuck the coir leftovers. Im thinking it was in the spawn. But all 4 different inoculants

The spot to the back is what I was referring too. So you think that's myc? I wasn't sure cause in my limited experience I haven't seen myc grow like that.

I thought I had ovoid mycelium on agar. I NEVER gave any spore color, just looked like nice mycelium. Then satellite's started popping up on every "ovoid plate". So what I am trying to say is, some molds make spores that you may not be able to see, like we do with trich.

I can see them with a microscope though, they'll form some structure to release them.

What I was getting at, is noticing when it starts making spores, with just your eye. I guess you could look under the scope each day until you see some.

Spawned 4 of my PF style jars to coir/verm in my uh, medium? tub? I forget how big it is, 20ish quarts maybe. Was planning on doing 7 but the volume of 4 grated fine was so large I decided to let the others grow as cakes. Nice not to put all my eggs in one basket.
edit: Looking back at my own posts from my last grow it is a 30qt tub.
edit again: 1L distilled water, dry- 100g coir, 90g fine vermiculite, didn't weigh the 4 1/4 pint BRF cakes. D:
