If someone came in they’d never know anything unless they start digging. There’s enough air exchange for the tubs and the panels are light and easy to move so it works
I just don’t like having tubs out in the open, people come over too often
Can you post this?

I don't know if it's the right place to ask but out of curiosity what would happen if different psilocybe spores were mixed together for inoculation ? Would one specie eventually take over the colonisation ?

Different species it would probably just stall out and not work well
Different varieties of cubensis can't tell each other apart. They mate just fine like all the spores within a variety would. And you still grow cubes.

Nice one dude, seems pretty random too. I might try mixing a couple of varieties just for fun…

So actually it wasn't so random, I should have documented it more. The first flush were all white looking ghostie then the second flush all orange capped chitwan came in then slowly more white ghosties appeared. It was pretty cool to see.
I really should have taken more photos but this is that same tub, all white ghosties not a single orange cap in that first flush

Shitty pictures but you get the idea

One set of spawn or did you spawn 2 different varieties to the same tub?

Hi all, I'm on my 5th transfer and using MEA. I've noticed this discoloration on the outer edges of a few the dish. The top picture has the discoloration the bottom does not. I have had very few contams over the course of the transfers. If this discoloration is not contamination could it be Dried condensation?

Bacteria from wet sides.
If you let them sit in a cool room for like a week maybe less the condensation goes away.

After you transfer take a picture o the culture. I like taking all my agar no pours out of the PC as soon as the pressure reaches zero. Doing so has lessened the amount of excess water inside my no pours dramtically.

Can I transfer a wedge once the mycelium grows out from the dishes that look like this? Will the mycelium out grow this? Or just toss them?

Look for Josex's biopsy method, it should help. I had the same problem from time, but I pour my plates. Sometimes myc will outgrow bacteria, sometimes it won't. If anything cleaning up a really bacterial plate is a good learning experience.

I got some ovoids on agar and a plate has this weird yellowish orange discoloration on it it has not been on every plate but for some reason it shows up on the plates I put more ovoid spores on. This plate is the 4th transfer.
