thats overkill. you could just give a hefty misting. or..
just pour in like half a cup of water, thats plenty. pour off what doesnt absorb.

I surface soak cakes (in their containers), for 24 hours, then drain it off, and place it into my "basic" fruiting setup. I'm using the container in a container method, with external water source for humidity regulation.
It needs misting about 3 times a day, mist the lid and outsides, then surface.

When the lid turns dry, you will need to mist very soon. Misting will vary with setup and temperature.

Very nice mushboy, the environment you have, allows for more oxygen flow, removal of CO2, and humidity. In terms of humidity, wet perlite will produce a "buildup" of humidity, compared to the outside.
You can add-remove containers, do side-by-side fruiting, so on. Just keep it wet. The perlite (CaCO3 water for me) can also be removed, and changed.
You can increase the number of holes, with higher humidity.

Some thoughts, the most potent mushrooms grow in rich oxygen environments. My old cubensis to WL-Tek (2-3 years ago), was grown 100% exposed.
It was standard in height, and cap, deep black-blue bruising.

I needed to learn more, but there you go.
Cubensis also oxidizes materials.

Anyone remember seeing someone's stealth grow setup that the used a Ikea storage chest? It had slats so a mono could get proper fae. I just saw it a few days ago, but can't remember/ find that thread. I think innocule and bod commented on it because it was a practical stealth setup, unlike a lot of others. I think that member was using it as a nightstand. I'm interested in the setup because as the kids get older, they get more curious. Won't be for awhile, but I'd still like to check it out.

There you go, that's the advanced version shining. Regulated intake and lighting. I had a similar idea with a tent, but modified to have an O2 intake.
No need to relay on natural cycles such as temperature.

Yeah it seemed like a pretty nice idea. Essentially hiding it in plain sight. They had a mono in there, a 6500k light ran in, and the slats in that box still provided good fae. Really wish I could remember what thread I saw it on.

That's not the thread. Lil's setup is a pretty much self contained unit with a fan, lights, etc. all ran off a timer tying it all together. The thread I'm referring to is different, and doesn't have all the bells and whistles. Also the post was within a few days ago, and lil's has been around longer. I pretty much just wanna check out the box he used to see if something like the one I posted a pic of would work in regards to proper fae. Edit: also if you read lil's thread(which I have before, hence me stating that isn't it) there's no mention of said box. The pic in his was a Photoshop of hepa filters in front of an outdoor grow.

It's all good. Just sucks that I can't get it on the search because that wasn't the main part of the thread or in the title. Regardless hats off to that member. It was such a simple, yet effective method. I'm all about simplicity in mush cult. That's why I'm a big fan of unmodified tubs and shoeboxs. Over complicating things usually seems to either end up with sub par results, or ones that could of been achieved with a fraction of the effort.

I have all my tubs and shoeboxes on short but long single shelves with stuff on top of it like a TV and boxes, I taped high power LED’s and have a CFL clamp light on the underside and have fake wood panels that I put up when I’m not at home. If someone came in they’d never know anything unless they start digging. There’s enough air exchange for the tubs and the panels are light and easy to move so it works
I just don’t like having tubs out in the open, people come over too often

Yes! Thanks for the link. I defiantly gotta keep up on that and see the results. That would work out prefect later on when a bit of stealth may be necessary.
