So my tubs haven't been colonizing fully.
Obviously bacteria/trich in grains is something of an issue and I am working on that. My question is, what else can I do? Could something be wrong with my coir tek (just verm coir)
I have been fruiting at spawn, maybe going back to duct taping the holes could be an experiment worth doing.

I am getting ready to do my first G2G for my first real bulk with grain. What would be the best way to do it? I have my grain in quart jars should I just shake up the jar and dump some into the receiving jars?

G2G is breaking up one jar and pouring it into other jars. I would practice first

not only that but post a pir of this jar. are you 100% sure it's clean enough for G2G?

not to mention the fact that there's no way that 15 minutes can effectively heat the inside of grain in the center of a filled jar, let alone multiple. even if it was good enough for our use then it would be WAY inefficient

I just want to know why it's interesting other than the title.
That article reminds me of research circle jerk. There's strong demand to publish so lots of goofy things get published. And you have to say the research you did has some efficacy. People are always trying to get grants or keep money. Departments have to make sure to spend every penny otherwise they might face get a cut next year rather than an increase.
That's how you get this ultra ridiculous last sentence

Thus, this study can contribute to the development of a process to control food-associated pathogens.
Sounds like a kid trying to get a bachelor's degree with fake research paper assignment.
Circled in red at the end with a note that reads How can it contribute... You can't provide even one example so why did you waste the time.

Mycogone has this extremely specific smell to me. Like earthy musty dirt in an old cellar. A lot of contams smell musty to me. Trich is another one with an extra pungent odor. Some are bit sour but those seem to be more bacterial. Although I try to keep my nose at a distance especially if something is obviously green abd sporulating. That shit will fuck you up.

Thanks I will observe them carefully! Which contaminant smells like old basement? I hope this is all my. I see hehe but I recon nose that smell now that you mention it..

Meh, you can break that up in the receiving jar as well. Anyway, a few tips for G2G:
- Don't overcrowd your SAB. In mine, the most I'll put in there is usually 5 quarts with 1 pint master. It's not a big deal to go in and out of the SAB if you wipe your hands each time.
- Practice outside of it. Make sure you're comfortable holding the master lid and the receiving lid in your hand at once. It takes a bit.
- I personally wipe the jars down right before putting them inside so I don't bring in anything from the outside. I'll skip this if they go straight from PC to SAB.
- After the jars get a secondary wipe inside the SAB, I lay my paper towel across the tops of them (one paper towel half covers about 3 lids, IME).
- Go slow, but use deliberate, purposeful movements.
- Try and twist the master jar when you can. I feel it's more controlled than shaking the jar.
I'm going to post a G2G video soon enough.
