Lol I'm waiting for the day I see someone grabbing some supplies. I've seen plenty of people grabbin shit to do shake n bake, and it's like "dude, don't fucking buy lye, acid, lithium batteries and instant cold packs all in one trip!" dumb ass tweakers. I know a couple other cultivators in my town, they just do cakes though and only like once a year.
I like to trip more often than that

I love the place I go. Rye is so clean I'd eat it. It's 30 bucks for 56lbs. For someone like me it lasts awhile. Then I add a cup of diatomaceous earth. Keeps the bugs and moisture out.

I live in a decently sized town. I've just done enough shady shit back in the day to not give a fuck, plus people here are fucking tards.
Had someone ask if margarine is real butter the other day if that gives you any idea how stupid people are here.

I don't think anyone agreed with this. When the boil is so vigorous that the surface of the water begins to roll over itself, it is a rolling boil. A few light bubbles rising to surface is a simmer, and larger bubbles, but not enough to greatly disturb the surface, is a normal boil.

Lots of first here! First time cultivating. Started with agar and first transfer of 8 day growth of MS syringe on MAE. I've looked over many pictures of mycelium, but it's not until you try growing your own that even the simplest and minute detail gets questioned. Any thoughts on the look of this mycelium growth? Specifically the center of growth, is usually dark possibly green in color? I used the outer edge of this growth and transferred to MAE. And tips on making cuts for the next transfer? Thank you all!

Can't see very well, but looks like a reaction to bacteria. That jar was inoculated with liquid, right? Sometimes, leaving excess liquid pooling at the bottom for some days can cuase bacterial problems if the grains weren't sufficiently sterilized. Or maybe you used agar to inoculate and I'm talking out of my ass
It was g2g'ed and master was inoculated with agar. Grain was sterilized for 2 hours at 17psi after a full 15 minute steam venting session lol. None of the other jars had any spots that look like that. I agree sort of looks like matting due to bacteria. Except the pinkish tint in the center when held to light but maybe im just hallucinating that part lol.
