Indeed, I cant strictly say how they work, just that several bacteria don't like one or more of the materials. No doubt there are bacteria that would have no issue with tea extracts, or perhaps do better.
Thanks for the recipe Leftfield420, I'll take note of that next time I try it.

Again I agree, but there are cases where wild clones could be dirty, or for other reasons.
Not to discount your studies at all Ferather. I definitely can appreciate your experiments. Have learned alot about fungi in general from your posts.
No problem, it's not foolproof, and comes with no guarantee of 100% success, and some experimentation may be needed. Still, at least you can run down to your local corner shop, or grocery store, and buy plain black tea bags.
You can pressure cook the extractives, assembly is easy, make tea water, add agar-other. If you are using lignicolous mycelium, much less sugar, or none is needed.
Following the T-Gel recipe, replace the gelatin with ME-other. The only issue in end pH, you can add CaCO3.
Tea: Leaves, Ready-to-drink.

I also noticed instant tea, with no additives, quite pricey but much richer. It will work like low-trace sugar, starch free, coffee granules.
If it where cheaper, it would make a grand fertilizer.

I have a SGFC with 15 cakes in it 8 are PESA and 7 are B+ I have had good progress with the PESA I have gotten almost an oz dry off of 4 cakes so far but for whatever reason the B+ won't fruit they have been in the SGFC for close to 2 weeks I have seen a few little pins on them and they have aborted. I did notice that a few of the cakes had some orangish color on the top of them. Anyone have any info that could help me out I would greatly appreciate it The last pic was taken about 4-5 days after the cakes were put inti the SGFC the others were just taken

This is to one of you dinosaurs on the boards who have been here forever, or to the geeks with insight.
But how would you rate the last 3 years of Much Cult? Is the knowledge exponentially growing? or is it steadily linearly increasing? Or does the Mush Cult have occasional bumps in the road, how does this work, always been curious about this?

Yep. Dare we say something is flawed dare we say theres a better more efficient way. Its called demonizing other methods. We give advice that works 100% of the time for 100% of people. Or at least try to.
If someone told me my ways had a flaw. I wouldn't bitch. I would be thankful that someone schooled me.
No ones up for debates anymore. It's called cliques or being mean by those who can't understand the argument.

Lol yep so fucking true...a few years back people would do write ups with zero pics and be praised I think we are going in a pisitive direction and things are being far better documented then previous years.
All methods have drawbacks we need to be aware of but don't let it hold ya back from trying for yourself.

Guys, is there a chance we can somehow try to save Much Cult from going extinct or lost if God forbid something would happen to either Shroomery.org or something else?
Is there a way of saving all posts so they can be imported into another board if God forbid that should needed be done? Maybe lame questions, but technically, would one be considered a thief if one somehow 'saved' all the 'data' to keep in case something bad happened? So that one can start a new board quickly if shit was to hit the Flow Hood?
Maybe I'm a little paranoid and protective of this gem

there used to be a 3 pic a week upload limit. it would seriously take an act of god or about 2 months to post a write up. things have changed but i remember those days. it definitely made it difficult to post anything relevant with a picture write up.i had to wait like 8 years to upload pics for something i posted in 2001.

I like a good write up by a cultivator with a lot of experiance and wisdom to share, but a Tek, imo, should be picture heavy, and be from start to finish with pics of fruits using the methods applied in said Tek.
