Really? I've only ran jars with polyfil lids once so far and I thought I read somewhere that they would get wet. I'll probably stick with using foil for peace of mind, no harm in taking extra measures to insure sterility IMO. I don't doubt you're right though, you have waaaaay more experience than me.

I don't use foil on the lids of my polyfil jars. Only the cellulose sfd jars get foil now

Ahh ok, I've done too much reading and not enough working. I get shit crossed all the time and I almost always have to reread teks before I do any work. I probably read Damion5050's coir tek a dozen times before I prepped any coir and I still had to go back and double check how much verm and water to use.

First I simply read TMC and remembered only 10% of what I read,
then I read TMC a second time and took notes and remembered about 40%.

Then I re-read and re-wrote my notes and remembered around 60%

Then I read some more shroomery and needed to get back to my TMC notes
and edit them a bit and suddenly I started to get a grasp on the life cycle
of the organism. Taking notes makes it stick! GL

Any special things to do with this for pasteurization as a bulk sub? Mix with verm? It says peat so does it need some lime added?

I have a composition notebook I use for all my notes now, I got it after I started working with agar. I really need to simplify my data entry though, I can already see it getting confusing and I haven't even started working with clones or an isolation project.

I’m gonna mix it 50/50 with verm and pasteurize at 150–160 for at least an hour. Gonna try doing one tray with this straight bulk sub and another mixed 50/50 with CVG

Jesus fucking christ, on November 23th I streaked plates with KSSS spores from a print I made some months ago and there are knots already. Take 4 days it took the spores to germinate... This variety is an aggressive fruiter as it is, but this aggressive? Never seen anything like this till now. Yeah I know, pics or it didn't happen, later though, I don't wanna compromise the plates just now.

I wouldn't use that if i were you.

Coir is much better as a bulk.

get field aged manure if you want that.

That bag is some nasty stuff and a lot of crap the cubes won't want.
