I just need to build a SAB real quick. And move out of this mold infested apartment building. I'm afraid to do any plates here after seeing our maintenance guy Spackle over black mold.

Kind of embarrassing to admit, but I'm a janitor that makes 8.50 an hour, 5 hour shifts for a factory. I'm unfortunately just an afterthought. The real workers make the company big money, and I'm simply there to clean the place up for them. I don't save lives nor interact with the public etc. it's honestly quite lonely. I babysit my son all day while my wife works at the same place during the day, then we trade off the baby and I clean the place up. I don't have any friends at all. Zero. The two people I work with don't speak to me... so hell, why not trip?
This is the wrong thread to discuss, but I'm quite miserable in life. Think that's the root cause to my bad trips.
Damn bro. You sound intelligent enough to do much more than that, but I'm sorry you're stuck with those circumstances. Life can really suck sometimes, but at least you have a family. And us, of course.
Them mushrooms though lol

Not everyone has a 6" hole saw
Although it makes the best SAB arm holes.

Moab man, your breaking my heart. Dont let a depressing mushroom trip get the best of you though. The world is your oyster and you have the potential to make that oyster your motherfucking bitch and dont forget it! Going to school and raising a kid may seem impossible right now and your options may seem limited but if you really are a smart guy (which Im not questioning you are) maybe consider look into the trades?
Look in online classifides at floor laying and construction jobs. A lot of jobs start out at 15 bucks an hour roughly and if youre punctual with a good head on your shoulders it puts you miles ahead of a lot of other people who work trades. You can start making upwards of 25 30 bucks an hour if you get really good at what you do and the work is far more satisfying than cleaning rooms.
Just my 2 cents man just dont let depression make you its bitch. Depression can cripple you but it comes and goes and in the end youre still here man.
If all else fails move to Canada

Well my arms are tiny so I could do it with a heated mason jar and have wiggle room leftover. My main concern is my own sanitary tek. I never feel like I'm being clean enough. I probably wont be happy until I have a sealed room with a flow hood? Is that the next step up?

I'm very seriously considering going to one year plumbing school. May sound kinda shitty (lol) but average salary in the US is 40-55k a year. Figure I can post flyers for house calls etc, be my own boss, and make good money. Of course much easier said than done, but it's the best legal legit money making idea I've came up with yet. It costs about 3000,4000 dollar for the course, but I get that and then some back in taxes easy (somehow, those who make little money yearly get good tax returns)so I'm going to try and get on that path soon.
I think I'm really close to fed up with struggling to make it to each paycheck.
Also, that plate i posted was from a Texas Orange Cap swab I hit 4 days ago. Look like myc?

I'm not 100% positive, but i see it like this:
Say you took a clone, and cleaned it. Then inoculated and did tons of g2g, as much as you can expand it. If you take a clone from fruit grown that way, they'll be close to senescence, with little vigor. As i understand it, that's how they often grow edibles.

Wish I could take a pic of my shitty ass SAB but I'm at work. It's a 20qt tub that I make holes with a knife and propane torch. Also yes soldering iron will work well.
Orrrrr. Heat up a large soup can, like the family size, on the stove, and make holes with that. Use a can opener to take both lids off, and use an oven mit as the whole can will get hot. I use a small tomato paste can and the stove eye to make my monotub holes.

I always worry more than I -need- to. I've done fine so far, but with the horror stories I've read.. I can be a bit OCD about it. OK maybe a lot OCD with them.
Anyways, will have pictures soon.

I'd suggest pre-measuring how much you need to hit 3" in any tub you buy by seeing how many quarts of water it takes to fill it up to the desired level.
Determining tub capacity/need is easy. 1 qt. US = 58 cid, 1 qt. UK = 69 cid. l x w x h divided by the appropriate number gives you your quart capacity. It's drier this way too.

lol yall must be little people/smurfs or something, my arms damn sure cant fit in a 4 1/2" hole
i tried the hole saw route, but there is no pvc pipe or hole saw that my arms could fit in (at home depot or any of the other hardware and plumbing places i checked)
my big ass had lots of trouble with that. i eventually ended up cutting the bottom out of little pails, and using those. then i built a custom closet SAB for doing agar and g2g work, and it has been perfect
