Well did the trip give you any insight as to how to change that fact? If i'm unhappy when I trip I immediately start to try and use my thousands of thoughts to think of a solution to my problems, and then revisit the revelation sober. Sometimes its bust, but some of my biggest revelations, life changing, have come from tripping. I'm really happy lately.

I'm the smartest person I know. Yet I'm also the biggest underachiever I know. I graduated high school in the top 5 academics wise of my class. Yet I'm a janitor making 8.50 an hour x25 hours a week. They say money doesn't buy happiness, that's bullshit. I'm far more happy on payday than I am the day before payday.

I need to get back into school. That's the big thing. I have no skills or hobbies. My biggest hobby is growing extremely illegal mushrooms. Just in a bad spot ya know. I owe college 7500 dollars from when I tried 4 years ago and didn't take it serious. Can't get loans until I make a good dent in that debt. Which it's hard to pay anything when I can barely afford the bills I have now. Just a bad vicious cycle that I'm having a hard time getting out of.

I can certainly relate to having bad trips when my mind is in a bad place. i actually havent tripped in years, because of how bad a couple of bad trips were. set and setting is everything, and if someone is thinking a whole bunch of negative thoughts all the time, they probably shouldnt trip (or at least this applies to me). i always feel bad because my gf wants to trip and i sit out, because i know i will have a bad trip. when im less stressed i will, but i just have learned myself well enough to know when i am in a place where i will have a good or bad trip, and bad trips are miserable and my responsibilities are great enough that i spare myself the trouble

i cannot relate to "I'm the smartest person I know" though, like at all hahaha... hell, i think i might be the dumbest person i know hahaha... no shit: i feel like knowledge is like a light in darkness, and the more i learn about, it just illuminates the paremiter of what i dont know is, and shows me how little i know. so literally, the more i learn, the less i feel like i know, and the dumber i feel

i would blow my brains out if i was the smartest person i knew. how fucking miserable. i love picking peoples brains, learning from people, it is what i live for. the more i learn, the more i am impressed with the brilliance of other people.

after hanging out at hacker conventions (defcon, etc), ive met some really amazing people who are quite humbling. lol i had the highest ACT in my highschool ever, and then my first honors class in college there were 2 people who got PERFECT scores haha... stung for a minute but it has become my favorite thing about the world, learning to appreciate how many amazingly brilliant people there are

I just put the poly back in and have two points for GE. I put tinfoil over it during the PC cycle so I have a nice sterile place to put the poly while doing my G2G

Moab I would uh.. consider getting a new job somewhere.  8.50 isn't enough to raise a kid on, even if the wife is banking.  Your life sounds like mine in a couple years if I kept going the way I'm going.  Don't ponder your sanity on mushrooms though, that's a waste of time.  Nobody can eat mushrooms, and then think about how crazy they are, without drawing some kinda conclusions that will slow them down.

Trip with the wife though, not at work.  Should end up being a lot more therapeutic that way.

Absolutely this. Set and setting. Work would be a horrible place unless my work was in a forest.

worst trip i ever had:

i made tea for about 20 people and the other people didnt drink it, so i finished it. started having a spiritual revelation, figured out something fundamental about the universe that i felt needed to be documented so i got mad at my friends for not helping me document it, and wrote all over the walls with sharpie haha.... not anything profound, just "breathe" and "exist" and nonsense like that.. so i was having such a "productive" trip that i went into my drying room and ate god knows how many ounces of semi-fresh fruits, literally by the handful (made sense at the time). I then proceeded to take a shit in the bathroom, then turned around and stared at my shit for over 3 hours  its funny now but it was pretty awful. crazy part is that i remember my revaluation, but have to actively suppress it because i think it would drive me insane

as far as employment stuff: dont forget, you are part of one of the only generations in HISTORY to have the internet and the opportunities it affords at your disposal, take advantage of it

Kind of embarrassing to admit, but I'm a janitor that makes 8.50 an hour, 5 hour shifts for a factory. I'm unfortunately just an afterthought. The real workers make the company big money, and I'm simply there to clean the place up for them. I don't save lives nor interact with the public etc. it's honestly quite lonely. I babysit my son all day while my wife works at the same place during the day, then we trade off the baby and I clean the place up. I don't have any friends at all. Zero. The two people I work with don't speak to me... so hell, why not trip?

This is the wrong thread to discuss, but I'm quite miserable in life. Think that's the root cause to my bad trips.

This sounds pretty common too me. But Inoc is right you cant support a child on minimum wage and stil pay bills. But if your doing all you can take pride in that. I can relate to be lonely, I work in cooler thats consistent;y 34 degrees 8-10 hours a day and never seen or talk to another soul. I do have my wife who is now my best friend so I'd have blow my head off long ago if not for her. Not too mention the shroomery, who all have done a good job of helping me see some character flaws that have helped me get my foot in the door with other people. So you got all of cult dudde. Lots of beautiful ppl up in here.

Hang in there man the ups and downs will come just look forward too the ups to get you through the downs.

Out of pure bordem today I dropped a drop of Cambodian MS into agar, and took a
Small chunk of inner Stipe from a random large PF Tek mushroom and dropped it on agar... hopefully I'll be able to get something soon off one of my three TOC plates that I swabbed,or the two I tried today.

Followed pastys plate Tek. PDA I believe it is. I have one plate showing something. It I'm not sure what... also while examining my plate, the good one, a drop of condensation ran across the agar... unsure if that's gonna hurt it.

If that's your clone its possible that it's already fuzzing up with mycelium. That could be an aggressive clone. But if it really was just this morning that seems a little fast. Sometimes the mushroom matter does weird things the day its transferred cause it shrivels and moves and dies a little before the mycelium takes over.

You know you could go to a store, grab a mushroom, and do the same thing and see what works. Experiment maybe, take your skills in the hobby to the next level... try edibles. If you are so unhappy that your only hobby is growing illegal things. It doesn't have to be illegal, mycology is vast.

The biggest trip of my life was realizing all of the events and actions described in posts made by this account were never real and had never actually happened, but were instead the delusional ramblings of a severely mentally ill human being. I just had to move on for my own good. I love you all.

Many edibles are grown at such a high p-value, that a clone would be very likely close to senescence. Doesn't hurt to try, though.

I've seriously considered this since the only edible LC I ever bought arrived too bacterial to even germinate on agar. I wasn't sure if the "fresh" shiitakes at my grocery store would be viable. I guess there's only one way to find out...

Just have fun man, it's worth a shot and it's for science.

Not everyone has this ability, especially this time of year, but grabbing clone tissue from wild mushrooms is the way to go if you want to play on agar :yesnod:
