Moab, if I can overcome my miserable contam problem, so can you!!!! I turned my walk in closet into my grow room. Set up a shelf and placed a hepa filter running 24/7. The door stays shut all the time, haven't had a single contam outvreak since

I thought the first rule of mushcult was CLEAN SPAWN!

It happens to everyone. I have a stack of jars right now with a small amount of bacterial contamination. Debating whether or not to spawn them. I think I'm going to.
I think the best way to avoid contamination is just to inoculate jars with wedges. Lately I have been blenderizing my plates, and making agar slurry inoculations. It generally works alright, but often times there's a bit of bacteria in the jars. The jars appear to colonize in like 4 days, but recently I made a bunch of tubs, and noticed that all the tubs I made on the 17th contaminated with mold, and the ones from the 18th and beyond were fine. I think that even though they appear to colonize in 4 days, they still need a couple extra days.

I have a PE plate in the fridge that's been sealed since it arrived. Gonna use that. Not gonna open it and expand blah blah blah. Just gonna use small wedges. The oats never did fantastic. Gonna try WBS again. Got some great whole uncut filters from Azu, gonna slap whole filters over the jars, and buy new lids with small GE holes.
My glass stove doesn't heat my huge PC too good, gonna try to find a plug in burner or something. Also, not gonna rush it. If there's been any revelations in the last six months for clean work, please send those along. Very much looking forward to it.

Good luck to you, sir! That's a good way to go, for jar inoculation. My spawn always comes out really nice when I inoculate with wedges. More wedges per jar is better than bigger wedges, but if you're afraid of keeping the jars open for too long, just put a wedge about 1/2" long in there.
Also, just a suggestion: Oats absorb a lot of fucking water. If you have excess in your jars, try shaking them real good (to evenly distribute the excess water), and waiting like 6-12 hours before you PC them. Then, right before you PC them, give them one more good shake. When you pull them out of the PC, give them another good shake. If you evenly distribute that excess, often times they will absorb it.

Yo can you use a receiving jar from g2g as a master spawn to g2g even more jars with?

Yes, but the more times you do it, the more likely you're going to end up with a bacterial contamination. If you decide to go that route, enjoy the trichoderma farm!
If you want clean spawn, I firmly believe that a very safe route to success is to inoculate jars with a wedge, and then use those jars to G2G 1:12...
I wouldn't expand further, but you can, and I do sometimes. I think jars inoculated with agar wedges are a very safe bet, but I use agar slurries, cuz I am impatient.

What is agar slurries? Ya I've been putting plates to grain. Have about 50 health colonizing jars ATM. Did g2g last week, they colonized in 2 days, shook, 3 days later fully colonized. And wanna play around with one of the jars to see if I'll have any luck with a second round of g2g Also, picked my first penis tonight

A slurry is when you put the agar in a blender (under aseptic conditions), and blenderize it with some sterilized water, then use that to inoculate your jars. They colonize in 4 or 5 days.
That way all you mushroom junkies can get your fix quicker!

Damn, I'll have to try that out one day...That's a little too advanced for me ATM. Is that similar to a LC?

Yes, it is similar. It's called an LI (Liquid Inoculant), because you don't add an nutrients to the water. If you did, it would be an LC. An LC is also an LI, of course.
The problem with using a slurry is, if you fuck up, you usually fuck up a lot of jars, and a lot of times the mycelium colonizes the jar so fast, that contaminants can be hidden and only show up later.
You can turn one agar plate into 50 inoculated jars.
