I used my modded plastic lids and got agar jars with liquid inside. My theory I rushed and didn't let the agar steam off enough before I put on the lids. Any thoughts on this topic?

I make mine in the microwave then pour in my jars and wait for them to cool and all the excess to evap before i pc, its helped alot with cutting down on condensation.
Maybe try a hot water bath to get rid of the excess moisture? I haven't try it yet but sounds like an idea.

Sometimes I have a lot of water inside the plates, but after a few days most of the water seems to go back in the agar mix. I notice that a lot of water can evaporate again as well depending what I do to the plates. I have had plates for a week with no condensation, then one day I stood every top plate on its side to see the growth easier every morning, the rest are stacked in rows of 5-10, as soon as I stand one plate up it gets condense everywhere, when I put it back on the others it disappears. Maybe try placing the jars in different places, it wont hurt anything!

I give my containers a hard tap to get all the condensation off the lid and sides before they go in the sab. Once in there right before I make my transfer I crack the lid and ever so slightly to let the excess drip out onto a paper towel. Been working for me so far

The agar will absorb the water you don't need to pour it put. Mycelium will colonize through water without a problem if their is no bacteria. Water does not slow or stunt growth. Condensation is not anything to worry about

I have issues with it spreading bacteria from my wedge. Trying to transfer away from it is not easy with water in there.

I noticed that if I have access water I get bacteria fast. Two things Ive changed is...making transfers as soon as I make the agar and its cooled. I do wipe access water off my lid and the sides of the dishes from big lots. I do this all at once making sure I watch my hand position the whole time. I spin the dish so im not dropping skin and shit by turning my hand up the sides. Leave your tissue on the bottom of the sides while spinning dish. I also saran wrap the plates now too. So far good.

I sterilized 20 BRF jars today and plan on inoculation with LI tomorrow. I have these cultures, and my question is how many cultures do I have to throw in the LI to be able to inoculate 20 BRF cakes? 1,2, or 3? The large one is 11 days old and the two smaller about a week old, which of these would you recommend? These are 80mm plates, no clue why they look like 50-60mm in the pics. And I have small hands also.
I sterilized 50ml water in the LI jar, but I can always sterilize a different amount tomorrow if 50ml is not good. Here are the cultures

4 out of 5 plates have condensation and that has never caused a problem for me, besides visibility without a light

Exactly I don't want excess water in there potentially spreading shit around and messing with a clean culture but that's just me

I don’t keep plates around long enough for it to really matter. Never really see pooling water though, just droplets on the lid. Using vented petris helps cut down on it too, I just wrap them tightly

if water is spreading bacteria then your culture wasn't clean in the first place

This was my thought. Maybe it's an early transfer though that is being referred to. If these are poured plates, pouring them cooler and stacking them helps.

no pour should cool before being lidded and pc'd

this helps a lot and also just letting them sit for a few days out of the pc after being sterilized.

I imagine he really meant clean looking growth on a plate. You can have a nasty plaste but a nice clean leading edge at some point, but if water is pooling all around it will be hard to transfer it away.
To get rid of condensation I microwave a plate for maybe 4-6seconds. This will usually create a localised hot spot which melts a small amount of agar, now this can mix into the liquid water and set. It helps if your agar is not too soft, otherwise it might be too diluted and not reset properly. I might remove the turntalbe from the microwave, if it has one, I do not want even heating.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Let my plates steam off more and added an extra layer of gasket to seal the filter. Hopefully this helps.
Also how do people usually deal with water pooling between the bin and liner?

Just leave it. It doesn't hurt any thing and can add some RH.
