This is the pin I cloned to the plate that I got the pin from I transferred today. That's confusing:
Clone > pin > {pin} > pin > plate
The pin I transferred today looked similar, the stem was a bit fatter, and I got it before it sporelated but it was pretty large still. Pics of that dish and the ones I transferred to incoming after work.
Looks like what I've been finding recently

Your in the wrong forum. This is general cultivation, in the mush cult. Mostly only related to cultivation of active species. Learn how the site works. You want the hunting and identification forum. That's why nobody here answered, but nice picture.

Can be fast as fuck, or slow as fuck. I have had luck, promoting faster pins, with a light casing of vermiculite and perlite. Only tested a couple times so far though. My PESA threw pins in like 2 weeks, others have never thrown pins for me.

There's this pastyplate I have which I don't trust to put to grains but I would be fine with taking a pin from, so I'm hoping in a week or so it'll knot up.

Here are some pics of a no pour, Pan cambo plate, that I cased with unsterilized vermiculite and perlite casing. This was a very vigorous culture and I did this after taking my transfer. It sat around, fully colonized the plate and started, about a half inch, up the sides of the plate. So I cased it for fun and it fruited rather quick. I will do this more in future, but will PC the casing mix to make sure I don't put any nasty's on the plate.

Lobi said: Would any of you guys be down to to weigh out 10 100g bags/containers of coir, bringing each to field capacity and then weigh the difference? Measuring the volume would also be a good idea(before and after field capacity) I feel like if we did 10 and did an average we would find a more accurate weight.
Would be nice to know this info so could weigh out any amount of coir and know exactly how many ml of h2o to use.
Anyone down to try this? Thinking about making a thread on it. Was gonna set up the coir tonight.

Different brands hold different amount of water. But also I think the more you cook the coir the more it holds. I just try to keep good notes of what works for me. But im interested in your trials, we could do it by brand and get a pretty accurate table likely

Damn opened a whole other aspect to the trial. Will have to PC the coir afterwards, dry, weigh, bring to capacity, weigh again and see if theirs any difference in cooked Vs uncooked capacity to hold water.

It feels satisfying filling one of these up. Grain prep only takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours, to boot. Ahhh

I came here to ask a general question about cultivating outdoors. I posted some pictures to show what kind of mushrooms grow in my climate. I had thought this was a lounge-type thread tho and maybe I posted too many pictures. Regardless, it seems like noobs aren't wanted here so I'll go. Glad you liked the picture tho.
