Cheesecloth Ok man then I only see LME as your best option, easy af to get it online. I strain every agar recipe except LME of course. It's a matter of preference and it's just a quick extra step.

I'd like to try doing my own seed blend with white millet and red milo, I have a good source for the millet already but was curious if anyone else uses milo, or red sorghum? In WBS those are the two common ingredients I just don't like all the extra shit

I don't know, I've used WBS with floaters, without floaters, with our without sunflower seeds, I've yet to notice a difference. It all gets eaten IME.

So I have these Amazon tubs, they got full, dense pinsets but they virtually all stalled at a very small spot.
Got one more going, we'll see if it does the same.
Any ideas what it could be? Seems like it genetics, but is there anything I can try?

I've only used PdA and it comes out pretty clear. The box of potato flakes last me two years and counting.

Nice amount of pins, my next clone will be a cluster. The one I cloned was a big fat mushroom from the second flush.

Hello I am new here and i am on the phone strugling a bit to find a way to make a post, going straight to the point i have a question about cross contamination of mycelium. Once i hear a guy saying that wild mushrooms can be very tricky because if there is a poisonous mushroom in the area the edible can somehow be contaminated. Never heard it again. but now in my balcony, where i let my plants and oyster mushrooms "wild" in a permaculture pot style, i got a mushroom that i didnt know and i identify as "parasola plicatilis" or "coprinos plicatilis" and isnt edible.
So now i wonder is it safe to eat the oyster after knowing thay there is also mycileum of an toxic mushroom? Or aint all mushrooms strong to afect others/weak to be afected? Thanks for your time

I don't believe that to be true. You're fine.
Even if it was true, cooking would break down the toxins (one noteable exception being the amatoxins in Amanita Phalloides etc, but if you can cultivate that you're a miracle worker!)
On a semi related note I would recommend not touching wild Amanitas as the amatoxins can permeate skin very nasty...
EDIT: Just found this, holy shit http://newyorkmyc.org/acute-toxicity-of-phalloidins/

I live out in a somewhat country area. At the home Depot by me, the only verm comes in a 4qt. Bah for almost $5. I was in the city, stopped at home Depot, found a huge 2 cubic ft. Coarse grade bag for $20. WTF!Of course I grabbed it.

Lmk how that verm works for you. I was gonna get that same bag when I run out of the bag im using now. I thought id be done using verm, but I mixed up some cvg the other day, gonna see how it works. And I guess I might as well make some cakes every now and then

For some reason people don't listen or believe me when I say I bought 2 like 40 pound bags of verm for like $60 from ULINE so I'll link it again.
https://www. uline .com/BL_3801/Vermiculite
It's lasted me over 2 years since I started (although I'm not a super grower or anything). They have tons of useful shit for any application. Makes it easier if they have a distro center near you.
