Well I'm glad it was a simple mistake. Surprised I've made it as far as I have bc I have always done it that way.

No. The lucy clone comes from some B+ fruits. First showed up on cakes and they were lucy and sporeless, bruised really blue. I cloned them and they stayed that way, it's a really good clone. They are white/blueish, they seem to turn a little blue before I even touch them. Average in potency.

Mine requires 3qts to PC for 2 hours. I usually use 4 just to be safe.

I have no idea how much water my PC requires. I just throw in some amount and hope it will last. Usually 1/4-1/5 up the side of the jars. I use jar lids on bottom. I have not had any contaminations until I mixed my spawn with bulk substrate. My bulk substrate was too moist and some of my trays started to smell sour or alcohol like. Surprisingly some of them stopped smelling after some time. Those that still smells when my nose is not plugged will be thrown away.

See what I can do when I grow this out. I deleted all my previous pics in paranoia.

Finally able to move forward with my cultures. Been putting in as much work in to my closet as I can with a fractured ankle. Majority of it's done, just got to finish up some small details and hard wire the lights to each other.

That closet is sweet as fuck. Are you going to use monotubs on those selfs that you have lighted up? If you are, what kind of mushrooms you are growing in there? Just P. cubensis? What variety?

Thanks, it's smaller then I'd like, but I want to keep all my stuff behind closed doors instead of over taking my bedroom. They will fit full size monos. For now just cubes until I get consistent results.

Last night I also made some improvements to my closet. I had my monos on the floor and it was back breaking for these old bones to be bent over. My closet is also next to my front window and I'd be worried my bright closet would catch unwanted attention at night so I also added a dark curtain
I can also fit three more underneath, thinking about getting another tube fixture for underneath. But I do have lamp shades that can sit underneath on the mono itself if I need them.

I fill my water level to about the 3qt mark in my 16qt presto and have never had a problem with it running dry even after 2hrs at 15psi. I get the weight rocking at 15psi and then turn my heat way down to where its steady at 15 but the heat isn't going full tilt. Water level is always just touching the bottom of my no pour containers or jars and never over. Like y'all said its the steam that does the work

Nice abductee, I say do it!!
I used to fill my PC half way up my jars. But I modified my weight and made it a little heavier and now I don't go thru all the water I used to.

Gotta like the extra insurance against boiling dry should you fall asleep PC'ing, happened to me a time or two.
Always forget about adding weight to my rocker weight, might be a better option so you get up to heat nice and quick

With basic equipment, nothing high tech, for an indoor grow, how best can contamination be avoided when harvesting between flushes?

Harvesting between flushes doesn't give you contamination and isn't something to worry about. Clean spawn and properly treated substrate (when necessary) will ensure healthy grows.
