Yea I have been looking around for a PC I am getting one next week. I also plan on getting into agar I just wanted to get another grow or 2 under my belt first comebackkid started a thread for people new to growing that want to get into agar so I joined that. So if I just boil the water in a regular pan an mix it with the spores that will be good? And do I let the water cool before mixing the spores in so it doesn't cook the spores?

That would not be good. You prepare agar, pressure cook it to sterilize it, and then drop your spores inside a SAB.

Ok heres some simple steps like I would do it in your position:
Boil some water, preferable bottled still.
Suck it up in your syringes while still warm. You only need about 10mls per syringe.
Let them cool completely. should take an hour or 2.
Set up your SAB (I hope you have one) by cleaning it, laying down a towel, and donning whatever kit you have for sterile procedure. Gloves are a must.
Position your print and syringes.
Flame sterilise your syringe needle, jet out a bit of water on a towel or something to cool it
dividing your print into slices , put a drop or 2 of water on the print, stir it with the needle tip, and suck up the spores. clear the air you suck up the syringe
rinse repeat

Any tips, pics, or teks on lowering temperatures with a towel and fan during colonization? My house is 85-90 almost all day.

Clean culture, spawn n sub(pasturize not sterilize sub like manure) so contams wont flourish. Make sure it gets plenty of air, its 10+ in the core of the sub, heat created by the myc. Try in the shade outside maybe near a creek, cubes grow n fruit in 100f*+ in nature

Not to be a smartass.. But go buy a AC.
You control the room temp. Not the temp of the jar/fc

Simmer down, sometimes I dont see visible recovery for a few days. I imagine bags may take longer

Lmao i am simmering down all my bags are usually recovered within the first day there is no growth at all on any of the grains ..
Im still gonna let them go but just is weird you think grains too wet could cause slower recovery times?

Was wondering how many of you shake a second time after g2g? I searched the forums and saw that some people do it, and one poster even got his stalled jars to finally fully colonize quickly. However most people seem to just go with the initial shake. My first g2g is looking good, but I'm already a little antsy after just 3 days, since it isn't quite as fast at colonizing as after I shook the original a2g jars, although I understand that in that case the colonized grains were distributed more extensively with a vigorous shake and likely in a greater number. Shaking has always seemed to do wonders.
