You would want to make cakes with a slight bit of poo in them to be able to pull it off. I think 20% poo is about right, could be wrong you will need to do some research.

Pans don't really need poo anymore than cubes do.

I think you might have Panaeolus confused with Psilocybe Mexicana. I haven't seen one documented grow where Pans did nothing but overlay the crap out of coir, and not fruit prolifically. Mexicana on the other hand likes coir, and coir based substrates.

I've seen a couple pooless pan grows, one that comes to mind is pinpornproducers. They never seem to do anywhere near as well without poo P3's tub produced pans that seemingly had no stem and were just caps growing out of the sub.
Just about every pan grow I've seen without poo is subpar.

This was spawned to only CVG, and YES it is contaminated, but I don't think I would have gotten very big shrooms if it was not. Learn from my failures what you can.

They do better on cased manure/straw-based bulk substrate materials. Pans like to be cased with pasteurized cactus soil too. That's cool, though that they are fruiting off straight cased grains cased with pasteurized potting soil, but I was talking about pans fruiting from coir.

When pasty said they didn't need poo you just assumed coir was the only alternative

Hell I might leave poo out of my Pan-cakes, when I get the cubes out of the jars and can get the Pan-cakes going.

I have one jar of Pan cambo spawn that looks rather decent. I might have to give a try to some thing similar.

Hey yall i need some help with my grow. I had success, and had 6 strains, then tried to copy them to agar, to which i failed. I stopped using rye grain and started using wbs but im still not haing success. I think its the lids on my jars because i am following the grain tek to a t and sterilized my syringe following another tek. My syringe is still good and so is the lc that i pulled from so i am certain my box is working fine, and that it must be my lids or my grains. Im using a self healing innoc port with polyfil in the other hole. Any advice guys? starting to lose hope here.

If you leave he manure out put straw in there. If I was going to do a manure less pan sub mix, I'd do 70% wheat straw , 20% grass seed, and 10% vermiculite.
