I'm just guessing, but- You're growing them in trays along with your edibles in a high FAE room. (I think??) Most are growing in tubs that get way less air. I've seen lots of pics of outdoor PE that look like regular cubes. Maybe the higher oxygen environment causes it?

That's weird. Is it possible that you mislabeled somewhere along the line and that's really PE6?

There's no chance that the cultures got mixed...I only had the PE out..Rest was in the fridge...This tray put out PE for the last flush before this...
Some of the fruits from 4 tubs including this one...All PE except for the odd one which looked like a usual cube.

Check out the middle tray far right and there's a regular one...

Weird! I'd be pinting those bad boys and seeing what the spores have to offer. It would be amazing if the fruits from the prints all ended up with regular PE characteristics. Who knows, you could be sitting on a PE spore gold mine
How is the potency with these regular fruits? You have a chance to test em yet?

IDK about printing these ones the tray is about done and not looking great...It is odd and the fruits are not at all like my GT. I have a bunch of trays coming up from the same culture. I'll print some if they show up which I think they will. I have not tried them yet but they are in the dryer and its about time for a trip...Will report back.

eat...You ever see that kind of thing with PE? I doesn't seem that unusual to me but it does seem unstable..But IDK never worked with PE until now.

I have a tall half pint jar filled with water that I aspirate for EzLC and it's still mostly full since I only took 120ml so far, instead of having to wait til I make agar to sterilize another jar of water can I just zap it in the microwave for a couple mins with the lid loose? Even though it was only open for a few seconds each time, with the difficulty I had my first go around I wouldn't be surprised that some contaminants ended up in the water.
I don't like leaving filled syringes around I'd rather keep them in their sterile packaging until I need them but busting out the PC for an hour to sterilize one jar is a bit much

That's where my little Wolfgang puck electric pc comes in handy. Just plug it in and set the timer for 20 mins and forget about it Sterilize syringes, cotton swabs, water, small batch of no pour dishes, whatever hassle free
You can microwave sterilize water just make sure it's boiling for 10 mins and youre good You could probably get away with putting it in a pot of boiling water even

I'll definitely check that out! Thanks for the tip, a plug in would be nice for sure. For now I'll probably try putting it in a pot of boiling water, like I said it was only open for a few moments but I'd rather be safe than sorry with LC.

I sterilise my water in little 125ml jars with silicone SHIPs whenever I do a batch of agar. You could probably get away with just boiling them or better yet fractional sterilisation.

If your agar is clean you have endles possibilities. You can keep transferring, agar 2 grain, make LI/LC, let it grow out and transfer pins etc.

Mutant... If your entire grow and future grows all start to look like that it's a good possibility you have verticilium. It's a nasty contamination that can get out of control quick.
No reason to be alarmed though. I'm pretty positive that is a mutant.

Just a bacterial blob
I got a bunch of them on my first cake grow before I learned about the importance of FAE
Are your cakes getting enough FAE?
