Has anybody else ever tried such a thing?
completely forgot about that link. i can do g2g but its in 4jar max batches. takes forever. and bags is just to retarded to even attempt in my small cripped ass sab.

Look into "still air lab" techniques. What you are describing is the way I transfer clean myce away from contaminates on agar. For me it's easier to do it that way than fussin' inside of a SAB, or using a clear plastic trash bag to transfer clean myce from contaminated myce.

sounds like a lot of work though for a whole room. franks shit looked legit. but he also did ms into grains.
and ive never really had that issue with contaminated transfers cause ill just toss the plate.

MS to grain does work, not 100% by ANY means, but with the less is more mentality you can get it to work. I am doing round 2 of Purple Mystic spores to grain as we speak, and am considering attempting it with Lucy since that print is so clean. You do have to pick and choose the spores.

I built this to have a some what clean area to do my SAB work in, until I can close this off as a small room and build my flow hood.

nice
I used to want a flowhood but now I say nuts to em. My success rates are great, only thing I'd want one for is bags/extra room and this tent thing may solve that nicely.

Easiest way to knock bags up in a SAB is with LC.

That's the only way I'd knock a bag without a flowhood. Problem is I can only fit like 1 at a time in my SAB

No. But I use a sterilizer which pulls the bag closed with a vacuum. I then open next to my SAB and bags go right in. 2 at a time. I then zip tie em up in the SAB and inoculate.

Been having trich woes unfortunately. After the first flush the mean green appears. There was definitely a batch that came from agars that might have had something in them, I got too antsy with new genetics unfortunately.
Besides that, and since it's shown up on tubs made with cultures that I'm almost certain were nice and clean, here are things that might be the issue.
1- New grow room got contaminated, needs a full clean 2- Summer weather where I'm at makes it better for trich 3- The gypsum that I get which is recycled gypsum has nasty shit in it 4- 4.5 quarts of water for the bucket tek is too much. I'll go back to 4.
Any ideas?

Is this anything to be worried about? 5 o'clock mutant cap either bruising or mold.

If trich is found in a tub or even pin molds is there really a need to clean the area? Real question. I don't think gypsum is needed, I used it years ago but haven't recently.
It's been 95+ here everyday lately but it's been raining heavily once a week for a couple months so all the moisture in the ground can't leave and a hot day in Texas is different than 110 in Arizona/California. They have heat advisories and shit. I feel like it's making a difference too because keeping my place below 78 during the day is hard, old AC unit struggles lol. While I'm not necessarily worried about it I would still rather have my tubs fruiting at 65-75 too

I'm having trouble finding tube lights that are 6500k and the lumens at 900-1500. I found one at 6500k but 2900 lumens. Is that too bright?
