What koot said just a light casing. It looks like it dried out. I don't no how to explain matted but your picture looks matted so there's an example.

Here my next one, just put to bulk a couple days ago I tried something different, instead of using the back of my hand to level it out and lightly pack it and leave it. I levelled it and then used my fingers like a rake and gently disturbed the top to give it bumps and make it rough

I wouldn't rake the surface. It creates a different climate for each ridge. You want it level so you can have relatively the same environment throughout the whole tub.
But that one looks much better maybe a little misting

I wouldn't say I raked it per say, just gave it an even ruffle and didn't leave it flat. I read somewhere that the little dips and valleys create the micro climate for them to grow. Made it evenly un even I guess. Nothing I can do now, kinda goes against the norm maybe. This is the first mono I put straight into fruiting conditions, I don't remember misting when the bulk was colonizing, but I didn't have the fae either.

I'm worried about the green on these cakes. Should I remove them from the fc or is it nothing to worry about? Thanks!

Sad. They've been removed. I think they got too dry from those fans on the side. RIP. I know I have a frankenstein setup...I know I know "follow the tech". You live and you learn. Thanks guys.

I think the heat wave in my apartment affected it, got to 90 degrees for almost two days. My spawn looked clean, I did about 1:2 ratio of spawn to cv , I skipped the gypsum. I was looking into different contams and wondering if it's cinnamon mold. I believe that's what I read last night.

I didn't even notice the computer fans. Damn man, that sucks because you had killer pinsets. Most aborted but not all are fucked. You could probably redunk the cakes or bottom water them (just dont dunk the pins) and hopefully bring some life back.

Lots of aborts. Mushrooms aren't very dense either, might be needing more FAE? What do you guys think?
Again, maybe it's the tinted bins? The mushrooms do look confused, lol.

I picked like 8 mature fruits off various clusters earlier to clone. Is it going to be a big deal if I leave them out overnight before cloning in the morning? I feel like they won't lose THAT much vigor.

If you leave them in the fridge, I don't see a problem? I've stored some in the fridge before and they are still firm the next day, so I doubt it will be a problem.
I've kept agar plates in the fridge and the mycelium seemed to do pretty well even after months of storage, so I doubt the cold will do them any harm either.
DO ITT!
