Sloppy & Crispy,
Go to Home Depot and buy a $10 Tyvek suit and cut the arms and legs off. It'll work fine.

Not the best idea. Painters tyvek can only with stand one cycle through the sterilizer. Medical grade wrist sleeves can be sterilized an unlimited number of times with out the pore size being affected. Painters tyvek would be a temporary solution if needed be. We are not supposed to post links to sites that haven't paid for a sponsorship here. Crispy, and I have a direct line of communication. I'll be private messaging him with the link to where I sourced my wrist sleeves in mere moments, so don't nobody worry about that.

quick (maybe not) question, I did search for "clones from bacterial spawn" and didn't find what I was looking for.
If I have bacterial spawn that fruits should I put a pin to agar, take tissue from inside a fruit, or take spore print?
Or just toss it?

Your better bet is from the inside of the fruit. Make sure you rip it open instead of cutting into it, as it is said that pushes possible bacteria into it.

I'd actually researched this before and was pretty sure Tyvek (which is a specific type of material, branded) can survive the cycles. "Painter's Tyvek" is a completely different material where the pore size will get ruined. The suit I linked is real Tyvek.
"I'd suggest getting a pair of tyvek coveralls from a local hardware store. Make sure they're tyvek though. There's some ripoff clones that don't have the micron rating or ability to withstand autoclaving." - RR

ive had it work fine both ways, but i prefer using sleeves both for grain bags and sawdust blocks. i use cut offs from a tyvek suit
if im not mistaken, the point is to filter the air that gets sucked in, so you dont have to open the pc in front of a fh
it also helps prevent the risk of the bag filter being blocked and the bag swelling, worst case it could swell and blockthe safety valve
i havent lost a bag yet when i use sleeves

Yes the much is faster... Could also sterilize some water n rinse the pin but shouldn't even really be needed

Cloning a pin from a dense cluster of fruits is a good way too get a fast canopy of semi reliable fruits, but to clone to go after traits you see to propagate you are going to have to let fruits mature, and have inner tissue sampling skills.

ive used a technique from plant tissue culture lately a few times: flame surface sterilization
simply pass the sample through a burner and burn the outside, then tear it open and take some tissue
devilishly simple and works great. alternatively, they also use multiple rinses in sterile water as cron suggested

What's the most you've let a fruit mature before cloning? I got some fucking AWESOME first flush clusters with big fruits right now, but I've been out all day and I'm kind of drunk now. Debating hitting them tomorrow or harvesting tonight. APE, btw, so spores aren't much of an issue.

You are in a unique situation to get some nice clone culture of a finicky variety. Sober up, and put on your cloning hat sometime tomorrow is my vote.

The caps are getting a taaaad bit slimy already. Dammit. Okay, I'm going to pick the slimiest (not even slimy yet) of the big ass cluster and dehydrate with others. The other big ass fruits, I'll leave at least one of the 3. FUCK IT.

This tub started off fine, but then there was a few places it was sweating out metabolites, then it got really hot in my closet, and then got cool, so a few temp changes. It got a little dry over night as well. Is there anything I can do to help this tub.

It was turning blue on a few knots that were also sweating metabolites. When you say matted, what do mean? i was having high hopes for this tub. I'm hoping that now I have better temp conditions it can repair itself and give fruits.
Hey crispy, so you think a very late casing could help, maybe one very thin like 1/4 inch or so?
