So I got 32 qts of bacterial spawn and I don't feel like wasting the coir on it.
My thought was to spawn them outside with straw about 6 inches deep and just water every day or w.e. Temps here have been 50-60 I'm not too concerned with getting anything out of them ryes cheap and I got more stuff coming.
Thoughts? Tips?

I've gotten fruits from bacterial spawn before. There's not much to loose, best of luck!

Spawn it to equal parts straw and load into something very thin with lots of air exchange. It will give the myc a huge jump over the bacteria. Straw is cheap and thin substrates make for better aeration, which will help keep the bacteria at Bay vs a very thick suv. That's a lot of spawn and a lot of waste. I wouldn't even hope for nutes out of the straw, just water;which will go a long way. You should see good results if you have the recourses.
Outside would also work just not as well in those temps imo.

These are all examples of heavily bacterial spawn fruits.

32 quarts of bacterial spawn? I like you a lot man, cool guy, but shit. I'd figure out wtf the problem is before I made 32 quarts again....

Bacterial (now triched) Texas yellow cap tub. Was slow as fuck to fruit. And the fruits grow all fucked yo. These are "trich shrooms" as my late friend Azur would say.
Just harvested this. Damn dense. Didn't look like much at all. 330 wet.

Fuck I still spawn bacterial grains. The worst fail from doing it was 50%. I got a bunch right now that's looking to be about 80% success. If possible at least put some CVG in jar, shake well, give a little casing and fruit in jar. That is if you don't need the jars.

Straw is wayyyyyy cheaper then coir. Good idea I'll get to pasteurizing. Idk why I didn't think about using straw in a mono
Oh yeah I no these are like a month old just haven't done anything with em. Didn't wanna use my precious coir.
It's not that bad tbh I could spawn these with eh results but just takes up tub space.
Pretty sure I figured it out as well. I usually make 20 quarts at a time.

I'll have clean spawn within a month. Definitely I'm just trying to play catch up with my plates. I need to order more Petris too oh well.
My problem was my sterile technique and also my lids pulling a vacuum after sterilization. But my technique has been on point lately. Minus that awful pour I did
Here's one of them btw.

Thanks for the help guys

I'd love to see someone who knows what they're doing do a very simple Oat run and WBS run side by side. I honestly don't know how to get the same five jars of genetics for each time , but in sure the more experienced folks know how to. Run the same stable clone? Is that correct?
Anyway, I'd love to see how oats and WBS do side by side with the exact same everything else of the other tub including genetics.
If anyone interested in trying, thanks very much.

Yeah having a job was a real drain on my fucking off on shroomery time. I'm working more of that time back into my schedule now. Luckily I have enough money saved up for most of the rest of the year if I want, but I'll probably start working again in a month or so..
