I did a thin layer across the bottom of a couple of my wide mouth pints that I use for my agar.

Just pc some agar and wait till it looks about to solidify but still on the more liquidy side and pour a thin layer over the agar with spores on it

I will have to give it a try. I was going to swipe a bunch more plates when I got through some of these other strains. I'm just looking for a couple good cultures that will keep me happy right now.

So I've been reading, and it's actually electrical\ionic triggers that make spores germinate
Was reading some studies where they actually electrocute both spores and myc, for various ends!
I'm gonna fuck around with some of these ideas just for the hel of it haha...
Not that it'll probably help you any

I have poured 20 plates in a sab.. 1 went bad. Stored 10 others I didnt used. Saran wrapped. Then used my sab to inoculate.. Couple days later those 10 all had trich. Im wondering if it has to do with using my sab with the lid? Does it matter? I misted, covered the lid and let it sit for 20min and went to work. Flammed needle. Made sure nothing hovered the plates as i dropped two drips from a MS. Maybe i should flip the sab downwards with no lid and try a towel? Lmk .. Im started to get disapponted with all these failures

Your inoculum may have been dirty. If not it's your technique.
You have to keep going through the motions, though, man, if you want to win!
Pay critical attention to what you are doing, and try to figure out where you may have went wrongs with your technique.
Keep trying though. In the beginning, this hobby is meet with a lot of failure. Remember: Failure is a stepping stone to success.

Aww man, I know how you feel. I would bet almost everyone here has been to that point before. Hang in there. You will have success...its just a difficult thing, doing sterile things an a non-sterile environment.
It's hard to tell from your description how you did the inoculation but, I try to just lift the lid of the petri with my left hand to a slight angle above the agar, and move the scalpel, needle, loop, or whatever I'm using with my right hand just under the lid, do my business and then move back out while lowering the lid. The lid never gets more than an inch or so away from the surface of the agar, and I do everything with very slow, smooth motions.
That has always worked well for me. If that sounds like just what you did, my apologies.
