Each syringe is equal (if not more) to one quart jar of fully colonized grain spawn, so 1 syringe into one 5 quart bag of grains, that's 14 large bags inoculated with pennies worth of material that occupies way less space than 14 quart jars, and takes days less time to prepare. So much less time, and space is needed to prep a few jars of liquid medium over the amount of quart jars currently needed to fill production needs.
After that curve is rounded the next curve will be to remove the grain spawning steps out of the grow process entirely by inoculating bags of sterilized and hydrated grain, and bulk substrate materials in bags at once with LC. Once these substrates are consolidated remove culture from bag, and fruit them on wire rack shelving systems in a climate controlled environment. No more tubs.

like using the PC for its built purpose? as a canner? and store fresh shrooms like a tomato? 250f at 15psi is hardly close to the melting point of the actives... or would they turn to 'mush'
think i might try it and crack them open a year later and see whats up
You can ferment them with veggies...

yours is more relevant at least.
i got a decent result from a block of colonized grains that were fruited outside the bag. inside a mono tho, but the idea is similar i guess.

I think I'll just follow you and skip grain all together! I love that idea. Room and time are both big obstacles for me.

'time' and mushrooms is such a funny contradiction. one of my favorite things about mushcult tbh.

You think so? I think it could work. Would need more capacity to sterilize larger amounts of substrate at once is all.

So your basically trying to do an all in one bag from a grain master to LC? Did I follow that right?

learn with pf but to solve the 'room' problem, do grains spawned to bulk. cakes take up a shitload of space for a low return of said space.
a sgfc made into a mono will pump out way more shrooms then the same chamber packed with cakes.
unless you are a cake god. ive seen some bad ass cake grows b4.

Grians wouldn't be able to be skipped all together though.
Grains would still need to be hydrated (rinsed, soaked, boiled/simmered, ect, ect), and mixed in with the bulk substrate materials, then sterilized.
How much grains per amount of bulk sub materials in each bag is in question at the moment.
The steps in the cultivation process that require mycelia expansion via sterilized grains would be cut out though.

I saw other TCS saying we use entirely too much grain compared to edible cultivation.
Since its an all in one bag you could do a very low grain to sub ratio. Like with oysters and such. Or just see how minimal you can make it.

i think I found a temporary fix that seems to allow my pc to get the rocker rocking. The new issue I've been having with my pc is that the safety release valve is lifting and xpellin steam before my rocker even starts to move. I think the valve needs replacing, but I've found that if I put a socket from a wrench set on top, it stops it from premature release..lol and allows enough pressure to build to get the psi up. I think it will be safe because there's a back up grommet for safety and the main vent pipe is clear.. anyways, think it's safe enough to run a pc cycle with a socket holding down the safety release valve?
