Hey doods. Does refrigerating plates cause accelerated bruising if not sealed correctly?

has anyone tried to can freshly picked shrooms?
like using the PC for its built purpose? as a canner? and store fresh shrooms like a tomato? 250f at 15psi is hardly close to the melting point of the actives... or would they turn to 'mush'
think i might try it and crack them open a year later and see whats up

Do 3 6 and 9 months a years kinda pushing it as canned foods shelf life is generally a year.

Nah canned mushrooms shelf life is 100 years they just say 1 year because they have to give a date and liability issues.
Properly canned food will last decades. it may lose flavor and texture which can be an expiration but it won't make you sick

Milk is a bit different it's only pasteurized and it gets opened more than once.

I pour it into a glass like a human. I get cream on top whole milk i do live in the dairy state ffs It's still 8 dollars a gallon. But it tastes so much better than grocery store ultra pasteurize homogenized whole milk that they seen like entirely different beverages

I get that (I don't drink milk) but just because a date has passed doesn't mean it's actually gone bad. It wasn't meant to be compared to canned foods.
Good thing I don't drink milk she can keep that backwash
You work with bacteria and yeast rite bod? Would make sense if your in the cheese state

Where I'm at milk gets a sell by date, not an expiration date. The sell by date is to make sure you have plenty of "safe time" to drink it, even if you buy it on the last day. Dumb uneducated fuck areound here think sell by date = expired.

Been thinking about figuring out how to make a sustainable jump from grain jar mastering to LC, then go from LC to bag. 14, 12 cc syringes can be retrieved from one pint jar of LC.
Each syringe is equal (if not more) to one quart jar of fully colonized grain spawn, so 1 syringe into one 5 quart bag of grains, that's 14 large bags inoculated with pennies worth of material that occupies way less space than 14 quart jars, and takes days less time to prepare. So much less time, and space is needed to prep a few jars of liquid medium over the amount of quart jars currently needed to fill production needs.
After that curve is rounded the next curve will be to remove the grain spawning steps out of the grow process entirely by inoculating bags of sterilized and hydrated grain, and bulk substrate materials in bags at once with LC. Once these substrates are consolidated remove culture from bag, and fruit them on wire rack shelving systems in a climate controlled environment. No more tubs.

expired doesnt even mean anything. its just a arbitrary 'line in the sand' based of some earlier precedent of liability.
but id stay away from expired dairy products, the shits suck.
