My cat caught a mouse a week or so ago. She broke it's back legs so it couldn't run away so she could play with it. Kinda fucked up

Lol don't forget baby bunnies. My moms cat next door catches them from time to time. I like pets but my son has autism and is rough or likes to inspect to closely or else I'd have a cat. My tubs are safe and in a no rodent zone.

Gonna do it soon man, my next run I'll get on tape. Gonna start over from spores basically.
Picked out a few new strains to try. Texas orange cap, gonna try the APE syringe again, may break out the PEU syringe, found my mutant KSSS spore print. May just drop a grain to agar to keep the KSSS going. Oh and I took pan Goliath out.
Question though. I have Ovoid, and psylocibe cyanecans (SP) which one would perform better outside for a rookie? I wanna make some plates of one of the two but not sure which ones easier per se.

Whichever germinates on your agar faster is the easier one haha.

Moab I told you in potd lol, there's not such a thing as 'mutant ksss' variety. There's Thai Koh Samui which produces normal fruits only and then Thai Koh Samui Super Strain which is a crazy and very aggressive fruiter with a wide genetic potential.
I've had mutant ksss tubs, mix of mutantry and regular thais, only thais and even weird looking Asian type of fruits with pointy caps, and all from the same print.

I call it that because it's all I've ever gotten off that print. It was taken from a "mutant" fruit. I just hope I don't get regular looking cubes ever off that print. I grow the KSSS because I want and admire the spaceships.
God dang. Finally got them plates prepped. Now waiting on the PC to heat up. Gonna be a while lol shit I gotta be to work in a hour and a half. May need to just cook them this evening. Was wanting to try making a LC too anyway.

My original print is from a mutant fruit too but I got mutants as well from a print I made with a normal fruit.

This are Martinique Clone from my first grow.
It is premixed agar it should be high nutes thats why it is fluffy.
Gonna make LI with one plate and inoc 8 jars LC with the other.

My question is, my last grow was isolate, will the clone be isolate also ? It looks so circle already ?

How would the clone of an isolate be different? As far as I know there are no spores involved that would reset the genetics

At what point of growth can I start cutting wedges out of the agar to inoculate my grain? I don't have to isolate a strain before doing so do I?

Nah you don't have to isolate. Those look good though, I'd let the big ones go a few more days then use them. I use mine right when they hit 100% on the dish. I either use them that day or store them in the fridge before 100% if I know I won't use it immediately.
That's just me.

When you use the 100% dishes, what's your method of slicing them? For big ones, I'll cut out the circle and slice it in half and drop the wedge to 2 different parts of the jar. Some of them I've sliced into a big pizza or tic-tac-toe formation and drop them one by one.

If I drop I pizza cut it. But for the past 3 or 4 months I've really only been using LI.
BUT, I'm glad you said you just cut the circle and cut it and half.. because even for LI I've been pizza cutting and I bet your method for dropping into a jar of water is quicker and less contam prone. Just 2 halves..
