I had no trouble from 3 year old swpe swabs from my first project.

I haven't been able to revive some prints from tamps and subtrops after one year, but that may be specific to prints versus swabs.

My semp swabs died in a few months. Then PEu and trinity went dead about a year, other than that I’ve used multi year old swabs of tons of cubes no problem

seems cheap compared to the 23 q presto alu

but the bing AI says its okay

thinking of getting 2 of these

any objections?

That's the PC I use. It's solidly built. It has a dial rather than a shaker weight. #3 is 15 PSI. The only thing I don't like about it is the gauge which reads 1,2,3 rather than actual PSI.

For the price difference there's nothing wrong with the tfal.

I have that Tfal and it's fine.

It always seems to read about 1/2 PSI lower than my Presto,* but these gauges are all cheap and if all of the gaskets are working right, there isn't much to go wrong with a PC. I do not take the gauge as gospel. (But I also regularly check the internal max temp of my PCs with an autoclave thermometer, so I can be SURE what is happening.)

But having used the Tfal and a Presto, here is why the Presto is better if the money doesn't matter: the Presto's pressure regulation weight is an even simpler mechanism than the Tfal's ... adjustable orifice ... and if you really want to adjust the Presto's pressure you can add weight to the jiggler. The Tfal has no such option. It's a lot quieter though, I always run my Presto in the garage because I hate the noise.

* I see now the current Tfal does not show PSI on the gauge, mine is older and does show PSI.

thanks guys

I ended up ordering another presto
and then after making a edit to the post
also a t-fal

If you guys are not actively hostile about it, how BAD can it be?

Anyhows, now im messing with the bing AI hardcore, trying to have it advise me into what kind of hepa 12-14 or above air home self contained unit I should buy, to clean up the air quality of room the flow hood is standing on

DONT ask the bing ai to measure out the time it takes for a flow hood pushing 0,5 m/s of clean air into a 36 feet room
It will go crazy

I don't think that's Amazon or USA. I'm pretty sure that's your own country's tariff.

Sounds like the t-fal is a good option

I know you are not in North America so if it is a solid PC than you should let other EU folks know it is a viable option.

It does seem like both are reputable. Which is really what you want -- something where you'll just *feel* better having some peace of mind when it's up to pressure. I'll accept that I like quote unquote nice things, and that you really don't always need them to be successful! Pressure cookers are just one of those you'll shoot your eye out inspiring objects. Probably one of the most dangerous parts of this hobby next to not blowing up your still air box (don't try this at home). You'll love your Presto -- and maybe your TFal as well! Keep reporting so others here can have more good info to make choices when not US based!

Whew - the cold came in like a lion, it was almost 80 degrees(27C) out two days ago, now it will be below freezing tonight. My grow area doesn't get much heat and I try to use the fireplace more than central heat anyway so temps are dropping. I just went and put a space heater in there to at least get it back up to 70, I don't need things slowing down too much

For anyone looking at the 22qt Tfal vs the 23qt Presto, here's another observation for you. While I've seen 10 1qt jars in a 23qt presto, no matter how I try and put these in, I can't fit the 10th in my 22qt Tfal. Not that big of a deal, but maybe worth mentioning if anyone is considering one over the other. Don't mind the dirty jars, I was checking to see if I could fit the 10th before washing them to make a batch of grain spawn last night.

My trick is I use 1 jar from this variety

This makes it easier to always fit 10, just one jar is a tiny bit smaller

I’m thinking the print I got from the reverend is dead. 😞

It’s almost been two weeks.

On another note. Does any one know where to source Black Hoof Mushroom Spores or culture?
