It’s after the cultivation, once you’ve eaten them. That’s when you cry.

Culliganman360 said: @tedoro So your using a steamer to sterilize your wbs bags?
Many gourmet farms utilize atmospheric steam sterilizers for supplemented sawdust blocks, they're not often used for spawn, but they can be. Larger cereal grains may turn to mush after such long exposure to heat, seeds would definitely be the better choice for atmospheric sterilization.
The basic design is to have a steam generator pipe steam into a large heat resistant vessel that is loaded with blocks, like this:
Or a barrel system like this:
Myers (Gr0wer) is affiliated with Bubbas, they make some pretty expensive/sexy ss drum sterilizers with PIDs:

I would definitely be using biological indicator ampoules to calibrate the cycle duration.

What would you all consider very fast for spawn to pin time?

Yeah ten or less is about right.
Most of my typical cubes seem to be about 13-15 days.

My albino burma took 12 days which seemed really fast to me so 8 days felt speedy af, thanks for the frame of reference

Anyone remember V-tek and Waste no grain, use no 'bulk'!? Looks like it's using small containers of grain and fruiting them as is without removing the colonized cakes. Kind of like the bottle Tek?

kinda just way more complicated for no reason.. imo at least.
i like bottles because you can really load up whatever. dog food, various grains, coco just a fun mixed bag of whatever you got. really open ended with lots of room for play.
vtek uses hard to prep grass seed and is not as efficient as advertised and by admission the author couldnt cleanly spawn to bulk yet somehow at the same time pushed vtek for its 'power'.
just my take and review read the teks for yourself try it out if you want and make your own conclusions.

Nothing about that tek looks convenient above 4 or 5 containers.
Just thinking of cleaning those alone scares me.

Also for what ever reason, the only person who could get the Bio-Efficiency that Violet claimed she got was Violet herself. She said it was super simple, but had like a million and one stipulations about how to get the yields she was getting. Including super specific times to bottom water the grow (pasty basically tried to do a comparison of monotubs vs v-tek to see how well they did side by side, and the thread turned into a flame fest with Violet essentially being like Pasty did everything wrong lol)
So if you do try it and it doesnt work as well as you thought, dont expect to get much help as the people who do V tek arent really on the forums anymore, including Violet
