That's the cheapest price i've seen for those, there's a small handful of members here that have them. If you search the "New Tools Of The Trade" thread, you'll find em. Also curious what's wrong with your 75x's!

Exactly that- If clean on ms Take leading edges of all the various sectors . As some times what looks good right out the gate, gets left behind as well as opposite, some tomentose on ms might be the winner on t2+
And if I'm impatient take the left overs to grain for the Easter egg hunt

I feel like its a bit dry. other than misting, which could cause aborts.. any other suggestions? or should I just leave it and see what happens

misting doesn't cause aborts assuming we're talking things that aren't pans
dryness can def cause aborts, lack of water in the substrate too. if it seems dry i'd mist it

Misting tiny cute pins directly with a hard spray can cause aborts since you're literally blasting them. People have taken that as "misting causes aborts" and now the entirety of Reddit thinks mushrooms die from being touched water. Meanwhile the things grow in rainstorms out in the wild.
They do great with some drizzle!

I haven't done too many transfers yet, but with reading here (Stro's agar experience) and just a bit of personal experience, there can be quite a bit of strain overlay until multiple transfers later. IE, what appears to be solely rhizomorphic grown in MSS or even T1, is really rhizomorphic strains + tomentose strains all growing over one another. I've read it takes several transfers to truly isolate.
Granted that's the reason for my question, do most start with a large chunk of MSS agar (known to be clean but clearly multi-genetic) then go grain then clone to isolate some sort of preferred grower, or moreso MSS + several transfers to isolate each agar to a few genetics, grow, then clone the desireables.
Seems like MSS into agar, large chunk to grow > clone would be best if the thought is good genetics win out (if a large fruit gets produced then clearly it has outgrown in mycelial stage and we can disregard any desire for rhizomorphic vs tomentose growth, it won survival of the fittest already).

Everything I have typed is purely fiction, and is purely for personal amusement. All images I've posted are not mine and I am simply posting interesting things I found on the Google.

This is what a lot of people do, yep. Easy route to some decent/good genetics. Well - to be more precise - more often people do PF Tek > clone since they're not that comfortable with agar yet. Since PF Tek is naturally contam resistant, it's an easy way to grow some mushrooms from a spore syringe.

Seriously dude, my first few grows weβre picking paddock mushrooms and taking a few myc ridden pies home, buying bags of h/poo or cow poo on the way home cos itβs quicker and easier than bagging it yourself and costs $1, making beds and burying the pies and whatever was leftover from cleaning the shrooms and get a season of grows out of them, then decided I wanted to grow different varieties and here I am, not to mention Iβve been told not to do or try things by people on here and some of my best grows have resulted from pushing ahead. If the dude fails, he still learns, and he had the balls to post something he knew he could get flamed for, you just happened to oblige, howβs about instead giving some encouragement or at least point him in the right direction?

That's not at all what he did, nor what I did.

Def not ideal and the odds are against but I still wanna see what happens, not to mention a lot of grows here are literally shit in a box, coir in a box is so much better and easier though, I save my shit for my outdoor grows.

its not about ideal its about being on topic and sanitation. this is a mushroom cultivation and harm reduction site.
gathering up animal waste to keep indoors inside totes is not only gross but a possible health hazard as well and most definitely NOT cultivation. ever seen horse or cow shit come to life with gnats, worms and all kinds of other creatures? besides for contamination reasons its why we pasteurize manure products. to kill all that fantastic life waiting to hatch and infest your house..
homeboy basically went dumpster diving. found a half eaten pizza. brought it home and posted pics saying check out the pizza im making..
doing these things will get you ridiculed and for good reasons.

No youβre right, but maybe you should take the time to tell homeboy that, instead of ridiculing him maybe? Iβm always here for the topics and education, but flaming noobs is always bad form, for whatever reason.

Hi everyone, i watched Stipe's video on bacterial contam and am wondering if this is it:
Same jar on all images. Seems very nice and consolidated, white and fluffy other than on these few grains.
