Unnecessary misting is a surefire way to delay pins with matted, oversaturaded substrate surface. If you're properly hydrating the sub prior to spawning there's no requirement for more water before the flush has been chopped.
Contaminated spawn will produce the same result especially in combination with over misting. Clean spawn, sufficient initial water input, and a decent top layer will produce a flush even in the driest environment.
Vermiculite is always a great addition even though it's not 100% necessary. Verm adds a nice fluffy/light texture and a bit more water retention; it's particularly helpful to avoid over compaction when compressing your sub, if that's what you're into.
Also, don't change the title of the post

Thanks, I thought so. I was just checking out different post. I read I could put some baking soda to raise the ph on that area to stop it from spreading to finish the flush. I probably only have another day or two until the flush is done. I have potassium bicarbonate wich I believe to be more potent than baking soda, I might read up on that post on dealing with early trich.

It won’t do anything. It’s all throughout your sub already. You could keep it in the garage or something until it’s done?

Nope, just ditch it.
Cut your losses and don't let trich grow and sporulate in your space.

Meanwhile, on another thread, an exercise in patience and diplomacy has replaced the picture of the day. It never ceases to amaze me how gracious some members of this community are.
