It is very good for brain work and for profound observational purposes.

Do you grow with brewer's yeast?
I've never done a thing to get plat pins, they just appear. My current tat lc is crazy, it fruits constantly and puts out big fruit, well big for a 100mm plate.

I find rape extremely distasteful as a concept and don't think it's funny in any context. I'm a victim of sexual assault and it brings things up I'd rather not ruminate over.
I'm also non-binary but don't make soap box speeches here, in the same vein I expect people to not make jokes at the expense of queers.
I happen to find genitalia jokes hilarious, and anyone who doesn't think a mushroom resembles a dick is doing some hard work to avoid it. I once even grew a penis envy mushroom who's stipe grew up around the cap and pushed it in until it looked exactly like vulva and a clitoris. I lost the pictures in a purge and am trying like hell to find them again Thing dried out to around 28G IIRC.
The shroomery has honestly been changing for the better over the past couple of years and it's the reason I'm back and posting more. I think we're better than rape jokes or queer/femme discrimination as a community and I hope it keeps progressing in that direction while still being outlandish and hilarious.
Anyway, nuke the Pub.

Its how i work like a demon when its do or die time. the fatigue that happens when the job is done is like nothing else. sleep for a week. piss in a jug bc im too sore to walk to the bathroom. i go hard.
I cannot begin to stress how much fun I would have with a BC1000XL and a few tabs
Best bike ride I've ever been on was on shrooms. Zoobombing was custom made for the drugs if we're being honest.

-------------------- If you've never grown mushrooms before, here's how you start. First, follow the Updated PF Tek, put 4 holes in jar lids not 1, and use a water tub! The next move is Shoebox Tek. I've absolutely clogged up a 1000, but power/price/maneuverability all add up... plus it's not mine so rented mule.
People don't realize how fucking loud those things are until they are next to them. You hear it in your bones. Plugs+muffs an absolute necessity if you ever want to enjoy sound again.
Fuck yeah acid, all day non-stop and every second is fun as fuck. It also shields you from the law somehow

yea its like a jet engine. muffs + plugs wont save you. mostly i sit in the excavator with the door closed (and the attenuators on) and feed it with a grapple attachement. theres no possible way to clog it it has a 36" apperture. I think these units new are like $270k so they sure dont rent them out. We come in at like $180/hr but we get results. anyway. mushrooms. right? yeah mushrooms.

Its unreal. the flywheel weighs 1100 lbs. 36" knives. gives me the creeps to think about. i always ask the new guys "do you know much it would damage this machine if you went through it?" its true that the only real monsters on earth are the ones we create

How often do you have to sharpen/switch out blades on a god masticator like that? Maintenance must be a nightmare.

yyyyep thats the beast. ours doesnt have the grapple and boom. ours has a winch and i actually prefer it that way. the excavator handles all my grappling needs quite gracefully
the maintence is a nightmare. theres about 20 grease fittings you gotta hit sometimes twice a day. two fuel filters. air filters which gotta be cleaned twice a day.
the knives are easy enough to sharpen with a 20v angle grinder with a pad sander. i do that like once a week. every season we change or flip the knives provided the noobs dont run a bunch of rocks through it. they are double sided thank god. torque specs are such that im just barely strong enough to get them within spec.
the main belt needs adjusted like every week, changed every season. the main bearings are the most expensive wear component. these are big 2" pillowblock bearings. about $600 each and theres two. we try to take care of them but the poor things work fuckin hard ya know?
for sure tho, its run it break it fix it constantly but thats why we charge what we do.

Question for you experienced growers while things grow and we can get a side by side comparison.
Here’s a post by Josex of some Smurfs. Or what are being called Smurfs.
Here’s a picture from Reddit of what people are calling Smurfs.

Here’s a picture, picked, of some of my fruits.

Thoughts? Do these look like they are the same variety? I notice some differences, mainly in the stipe, between the Reddit post and the two from here.
