Maybe
Yet the original mention of LI that lead to that discussion came from a member having a hard time dropping wedges - in regards to that scenario, I stand by what I said: useless vector of possible contam

I use a jar with a full lid, shake the agar up and pour. You dont have to use a ship.

I drop them on top of the grain and then either spin the jar, or tilt it and lightly tap the bottom or side until itβs safely buried and then go nuts til itβs mixed in real good.
LI is cool for spur of the moment stuff. Like if youβre gonna spawn a jar you can blast a syringe in and suck it back up first. Then you have a spawned tub and a syringe to make more spawn.
Best answer. Drop the wedge into the tilted grain, then continually use your palm, and with some force, tap the top of the jar. The wedge will move deeper into the grain.

Well after a few years im gonna get back into it, i have a few syringes or lc from my last endeavors. They have been in the fridge for about 2.5 years, whats the longest anyone of u have personally kept/and used successfully??
Being i have some clones on slants from around the same time that look really clean, im going to just take the risk and shoot the lc straight to grain (pretty confident in the poke i took to be clean)
What im not sure about is how much to shoot per jar, i wanna say from memory it was like 5ml a jar??
What amounts are u guys using these days?

I am getting to the end of a batch of LC syringes of AA that are about that old as well and still perform mostly pretty good, although they are a fair bit slower to recover on grain than they were when they were fresher
normally I will hit up three or four jars with a syringe that I fill to the brim at about 24ml when the LC is drawn, so if it was three jars it would be 8ml a jar and four would be 6ml a jar. Although the amount per jar matters little except for speed anyway. Sure 5ml gonna do you just fine

Sooo finally, first harvest after 14yrs of break. Okay, they were mostly mutants but still, wet 1229 gramm from a 31L tote. It's okay Sadly not really something with it that I would say, I have to clone that! Maybe going to wait for the second flush ^^

So just finished drying everything, 98gramms dry. Dunno if that is a okayisch yield for a ms culture with 1,6kg Grain (8L or so total sub incl, 1cm toplayer).
Waiting now for the feedback from a friend how his experience will be from them ^^

so, I put some shrooms in the dehydrator at 70c. I put them all at the top following the logic of "hot air rises". they burned before they were even dehydrated - wtf.

Warm air will rise thru the fruits you kinda want that.
Burned? Pics?

I know it goes against normal procedure but, I personally like to fan dry for 24hrs before going into to the dehydrator to prevent that sorta burnt toasted look.

for sure, but you dont want them turning black from heat exposure. didn't take pics, tossed em in the bin. could dig em out but lets just assume burnt is black (while remaining still hydrated and wobbly)

I've had wet fruits sporulate like crazy in a dehydrator and turn all black. The burnt toasted look I described isn't actually burnt, it just looks kinda that way. I dunno how to describe it, like a toasted, tanned, shriveled weird overcooked look. Fan drying for 24hrs fixes it and preserves the fruits natural look while in the dehydrator.

its the second time I've had this on this temp. only happens on the top shelf, lower ones come out fine. I guess I either need to lower the temp or stop using the top shelf

They turn dark if the steam gets trapped and they cook a lil while theyre dehydrating. It used to hapoen to me when i overloaded my small dehydrators with cyans or even sometimes yellowfoot chanterelles, its a worry in lower powered dehydrators for any small mushrooms that you can pack really tight.
Fan drying for a while or making sure the racks are loosely stacked can help, just spreading em out a little more can even make a difference
Ime they still have actives they just look like shit.

yeah I packed mine pretty tight the other day and the mush was fine, but I noticed my lowest tray had got a touch melted on one edge after the cycle. Never had that happen before. Trays are cheap, but I worried briefly about the fire hazard side of things

I thought you want to dry them asap from the moment you harvest to preserve as much actives as possible.... according to your advice woudnt it be better to dry low and slow? I've been getting so much mixed info on this subject
Note - this only happens on the top shelf
