I bought some super clean wheat yesterday to try it out but then decided it's actually too much damn effort to prepare.
At least I only bought 2kg, maybe the birds will like it.

Why not no-prep it? For a quart jar, 1 1/3C (315ml) wheat to 200ml water, PC @ 15 psi for 90min. If you are able, shake the jars after the PC cycle while still hot. It is not mandatory but you'll thank yourself later when they are cool and you go to shake them.

Good luck!

reddit is so fucking horrible for cultivation info, it's pretty baffling lol. like i guess a tub that collapses kind of has a niche use case, but it solves a problem that generally doesn't exist & so much other bullshit & bad info is being sold to these poor people who just don't know any better & that info is then parroted to other people just blindly saying shit.

I no prep jars of oats. Works great.

Recipe for ~3/4 full jar at the end is-
Qt mason jar, 210g oats, 150g H2O, PC for 2 hours.
*I settled on 2 hours in PC because at 1.5h they come out too dry. I added 30m in the pc to give the grains additional time to hydrate.

Tare the jar on a scale, measure in 210g grain, add water till you hit 360g, tare next jar and start again. Shake up jars when cool enough to open the PC to break up the clump that forms in the PC as the grains steam and expand and jiggle which compacts packs them tightly.

For the small amount of clumping and occasional burst grain it has cut hours of prep from my process and growth times of the jars are identical to the years I spent soaking and boiling.

The jars in the middle in this pic that don't have any growth yet show how full the 210/150 recipe will fill a qt jar. All the jars in this pic were made using no prep oats.

I tried a no prep on oats because I only prepped enough for 9 jars & still wanted 10 in the PC. I've got another run & plenty of oats so I'm going to give this a shot. Thanks for the info!

who is that yield-guy anyway? I saw a couple of days here that someone posted a link to that inflatable lady, and mentioned she would be cute. But my god, I had to click away after like 10 seconds. How can someone watch that and take that seriously?

I don't know, but I never had the Idea to research something on youtube. That's just not right...

Edit: YT is here for music and cat videos. Maybe some failvids too, but everything else? T.T just wrong
