I was thinking about the fridge for a few days before dehydrator. I just knew I should harvest ASAP. Wonder if anyone else has had to do that?
I did end up throwing them in the dehydrator for 24 hours at 158F. They will sit in the dehydrator for 24 hours after that. I'll turn it back on for a few hours when I get home before sealing.

Sometimes I store mush in a brown bag in the fridge if I want to clone later in the week. It also works if you want to dehydrate more and need to wait for a flush to complete, store the early harvest in a brown bag in the fridge.

Does anybody else eat their pins? I picked these off getting the cakes ready for the next flush. I'm probably tripping, but I think they're a little more potent.

There has been quite a bit of debate/support of the idea that aborts are more potent by weight than larger fruits.
I've read quite a few posts discussing this.

I haven't noticed a difference, used to keep a little jar of just aborts. Tried them a couple of times, wouldn't say it's much different.

Never really tested it myself.. I've eaten a few here and there, always micro dose quantity.
It's interesting that it does seem to be a topic for debate quite often throughout the years on the forums. Maybe one of these days I'll eat a bunch and form an option for myself

To me, it makes sense that they would be more potent. Because, from what I hear, the mycelium starts to produce psilocybin in the primordia stage and by the time it's a pin it's already got the majority of the psilocybin. The growing of the mushroom is just expansion of its denser self. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Honestly, I just want hard numbers for all these fucking claims about potency and shit.
I know they doin the psilocybin cup now and all that but it's still just randomly testing individual cultures. Other than shit like enigma that only gets traded as live culture that doesn't help us much.
We can draw some general conclusions from those tests for sure but nothing too concrete. For example they do seem to confirm PE varieties to be more potent but there's some regular cubes pretty high up there too and PE near the bottom. Which kinda supports the whole cube is a cube thing.
Might just be me but I've also noticed a pretty decent correlation between cultivator and potency. I'd say as much as the correlation between variety and potency.
Really it would be nice if they did some serious controlled testing with things like multiple fruit from the same flush, MSS, isolate, multiple flushes, multiple grows. This whole send us your random shit to test thing isn't really scientific by any means

So if it has the majority of the psilocybin as a pin why do we let them grow, sounds like we could just harvest pins for the same result. Imagine how small the doses would be when a pin has the same psilocybin as the 300g fruit it'll grow into
