Guy hassled me for days to get prints/live cultures, and when I finally showed up to meet him, he disappeared fearful of some random bar guest that he thought was me literally FIVE minutes before I got there
Now I'm sitting in the bar with enigma on oats next to my beer and yes I'm thinking

Young people today are made of cotton candy and glass
I would be ghosting whenever the hassle began. But you done went the extra mile, and got to toast the occasion.
@acapulcogold I'd propagate the one in the middle and find out. Looks nice.

I know everyone here is killing it with agar, but I wanted to throw this out there. I tried cloning my APE grow to PF medium pucks and it’s going really well. Slow, but not as slow as I expected. This picture is about I guess a week (not sure haven’t kept track) after taking a needle biopsy. I might not have agar, but this has given me a viable way to preserve genetics, even if it’s significantly more temporary.

I’m doing a round of no pours with simple BRF agar. We’ll see if these work!
I’m not giving up, I’m just tired of missing out on good cultures.

After having a lot more issues getting gourmets to fruit compared to actives I finally seem to have found an easy oyster set-up that works for me. First jar is pinning on schedule (and it’s a lot of pins too), and the three others are not far behind I think. Really happy about this going well after all my jars with semis contaminated, at least had some mushroom success during my summer break

Just wanted to know what you guys think about my old grain jars. They've been sitting for almost 3 months. Their pints of wheat, and here's one them:

For sure. They look ok, don’t they? Like in person?
I’ve seen people here say once they’re pressure cooked they should last years in theory. Then I’ve also heard people say they wouldn’t noc up 2 day old food, that they’d rather make it fresh.

Yeah they look just fine.. maybe slightly dried out on the edges. I'm probably just gonna go for it, but I thought a poll would be fun

I think it looks fine.. I've used 1 and a half month old oats that I had forgotten on a shelf and they colonized normally.

I’ve used several week old grains but not months. They do look fine to me. Throw some LC on it for some extra moisture. Lol.

3 months is a long time from grain prep. Good luck to you.
