usually they sink during soaks and shit. sometimes you still get them. especially if you dump into a strainer opposed to scoop out onto a strainer.
i guess birds need them for roughage?

right but this coco was never used. it sat out for 2 months and dried out to dust. so i REhydrated it with cold unfiltered tap water from my sink.
since COCO is sterilized when compressed, we should be able to add water and spawn. foregoing the bucket tekking completely.
ive just always been too scared to try it but do people do it all the time and im ignorant?
The worst that will happen if anything would be cobweb mold. I have left unused hydrated coir in buckets for 62 days and finally seen a small patch of cobweb mold show up in just 1 bucket. The buckets were also sealed up and not getting any air flow thiugh

Surprisingly it's been hard for me to find gypsum aswell. I've checked Canadian tire, Wal-Mart, home hardware. A new Lowe's opened and I havent been in yet, it be nice if they carried it. Ibe been using the same sheet of drywall for the last year.lol went from 3' x 5' piece to barely a foot square.

If you have a home depot or lowes in your area, they definitely have gypsum.
Look in the garden area, they usually come in 40lb bags for like a few bucks. Pelletized garden gypsum

Suprisingly enough I had to go to 5 home depots and 3 lowes and a grow store to find gypsum.

I have a question that doesnt need a new thread. What do you guys use to cover your holes when the monotub is colonizing? I don't have any good tape other than this double sided stuff and I taped some sfds to the holes for gas exchange. Is this viable or am I promoting contamination?

you had to mix the spawn and substrate together in open air with your hands, you can take the lid off to take a picture. contamination is caused by shitty spawn at this point or if you're using non coir substrate that's not properly pasteurized

I'll take some pics when I get home but I think everything looks good on my end I was just curious if using discs when the sub is colonizing hurts the tub any? I like the look and idea of going from sfds to micropore tapr but if I can just use poly its unnecessary. I appreciate the responses!

Is there anything I can do to make my RGS bottles pin faster? They're cased with verm and have been getting misted 2-3 times a day. Been in SGFC for 6 days and no pins yet!

Sacrifice a virgin or your firstborn to The shroominati
Pictured here this chosen one has been elevated to high places by the shroominati council
Taking the role of numerous people throughout the years
You may see pins two days faster per sacrifice

We're on day three with this one. Replaced the filters and packed polyfill as tight as possible.
