OK, will do. Txs.
I'm going to tiger drop MS pasties into ten WBS jars BTW, and hopefully make a couple of monos. When I rinsed the WBS, I removed like 2 quarts of floaters and it generally smelled pretty rank.

How much do you think I need to let the jars cool from this point on? The air vent/ cover lock already dropped, the PC had only gotten to 8 psi, and I wouldn't personally mind using oven mits or whatever. Do you think I could get to work with the foil right away, or should I be patient and wait an hour?

Let the pressure drop, open pc, check filters, replace them if they're wet, then foil and pc as usual. No need for the jars to cool.

Cube spores are purple but a thick print will make them look black. Some can be rust colored, you should swipe those spores and try to see if you get any more rust colored prints in the grow

A stablized rust spore b+ would be cool Anyone still working with golden halo or did everyone give up on it?

you can see the myc fuzz up on the grains
it should also be noted that the coco was prepped using my bathroom sink. the coco was sterilized. allowed to dry and rehydrated with cold water. the texture of the dried out coco was awesome. similar to hpoo. TAKING ALL BETS!!
it was 4am. im surprised nobody did a
the sterilized coco is maybe 2months old?

Any idea what these balls are?

Poorly rinsed grain debris, or some black alien eggs? They look kinda out of place but I don't know
This jar is KSSS

those are mineral rock things in some brands.
usually they sink during soaks and shit. sometimes you still get them. especially if you dump into a strainer opposed to scoop out onto a strainer.
i guess birds need them for roughage?

right but this coco was never used. it sat out for 2 months and dried out to dust. so i REhydrated it with cold unfiltered tap water from my sink.
since COCO is sterilized when compressed, we should be able to add water and spawn. foregoing the bucket tekking completely.
ive just always been too scared to try it but do people do it all the time and im ignorant?

Could be pelletized gypsum that didn't dissolve, if you use pelletized gypsum that is.
I also notice that WBS manufacturers put small round pebbles in WBS for birds beaks so it could be that also. If I buy pennington bird seed there is always a ton of small rocks in it.

So I just add water gradually and test for field capacity with a squeeze?

I use Penningtons, and yes there is a lot of rocks in the mix.
Can I go to southern states or a feed store and buy just red and yellow millet? I'd love to just have that. Also I can't find gypsum anywhere.
