Do I need to re-sterilize my blade when doing multiple agar to jar transfers?

It's good practice to flame before each transfer. I do, but I don't know about everyone else...

This may not be the right thread to post this, but I'll give it a shot since it's spore related..
I've had a few requests for swabs/prints internationally, but I only have experience sending domestically (US)... is there anything I should know that's different about the process sending internationally? Do I just use more stamps, or do I need a special stamp? Are there any concerns with customs or anything like that?

I would say always do it. It's a couple seconds precaution vs a bad jar.

The post office has a global stamp that is good for standard size letters internationally.

Yes, sterilize at each new container.
So if you're gonna do multiple jars from one plate. You flame before carving up the plate and you can transfer directly into your first jar without flaming again. Flame again before the second jar but you can do multiple transfers into the same jar without flaming in between.
Each time you move to a new plate or a new jar, you flame your tools. As well as each time you put your tools down or accidentally touch a non sterile surface (that is to say any surface that isn't the inside of a sterile container)

International stamps are $1.30 so as long as you have at least $1.30 worth of stamps on it. Weight limit for an international stamp is 1oz. So prints and swabs should be more than light enough

I also posted a reply in the Marketplace, but USPS has "Global Forever" stamps which can be used for this. You can send one postcard-sized envelope from the US to an international country with one Global Forever stamp, I made use of these for the Cosmoplex giveaway a while back.

And that would be a good place for agar to colonize correct?
Sure, but thatโs not what I use it for. I use it for sterile work and when Iโm done with my transfers or whatever the jars go into the closet where my lights are setup.

[Background] It's my 1st time growing shrooms. I'm looking for advice.
[apologies if I've misposted]
I bought a syringe off of orangutantradingco - what a fool was eye. Looking at the results on LMEA plates, it looked like yeast to me, repeatedly!
I was stuck.
Fortunately, my kids had just recently done inter web cash exchange for what I am led to believe was a bag of cubes. From those I got some decent mycelium on LMEA, off of a cap I chopped up, gills down. I chopped off chunks of colonized agar and added them to jars of popcorn. In a smallish tub I layered coir rich (hanging basket) potting compost (from local DIY retailer) and the colonized popcorn. I then left the tub for a month or two (or three, i forgot). The tub has 2 holes on each side ~1"||2.5cm, just above soil level, and higher holes each end. Just because: I covered the holes with micropore tape. Recently I am suspecting that the atmosphere was sub optimal. It looks all wrong (never having been here b4). In ignorance I have just removed the box from it's cupboard. It's now on the kitchen table and I have removed the hole covering micropore tape and just got cotton wool pads hanging over the holes - because it seemed right?? I have posted a picture of the first "pining"(?) of this "bulk grow".
Pls could anyone advise: 1. The caps look too small and the bases too fluffy, when I should harvest these? 2. Was I foolish using Garden Center potting compost? 3. I have now got some 100% choir bricks. Next time should I go with the coir or use up what I got left of the hanging basket (coir rich) compost?
thnx

Since it's really been that long you might Wana remove all of those aborts to the surface, rehydrate, and add a layer of verm or coir on top.

Compost? Don't need that.
Getting spores from a bag of (maybe) magic mushrooms is expert-level skill. It's been done, but not by a noob that I know of.
Get some spores from a vendor here or another person on here. Have you been on long enough for the https://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/43 to get free spores?
Read post in my sig line "Things I wish I'd known.." Read all of it but particularly the part about getting coir without added contams.
Popcorn is hard to grow on, especially at first. Since you're buying things at a big box store, get Pennington's classic bird seed. Wash / strain 5 times, then Pressure cook as in my post below.
We need some clear photos of your shrooms growing to tell if they're the right kind. Tips on clear photos in my post too.
Welcome.

tyvm for the info. What would be the best way to remove "the stuff" just "scrape" it all off the surface*? * alcohol'd gloves & sterile environment... Will there be anything in these aborts - is it worth drying them out? thnx
