Slightly wet… I’d let ‘em sit for a week or two if it were me.

I’ve only used oats so far. Tried getting ahold of rye when I started but had a heck of a time finding them anywhere and when I did I couldn’t bring myself to shell out the cash for them. Tractor supply got me covered on oats.

Does senescence continue in colder temps like a fridge cus i had a culture in the fridge thats been in there for at least a year and a half and when i previously took a transfer of an old plate in the fridge it moved really slow

Alright boys, girls and teapots, Ive been talking with a friend about APE spores and Im starting to think I fucked up.
In the past I have swabed APE fruits and given them away thinking nothing of it. Now Im starting to believe these are destined for failure, as in they wont produce APE fruits. In fact one person has reached out with a shoebox that was growing regular PEs. Is this true? I always assumed APE syringes were made with swabs.
Have I sined?

Pretty common occurrence. Not sure what’s up with sw ape but I think you’re pretty lucky if you don’t get a revert from the next gen. From what I’ve witnessed in here anyway

In pretty sure senescence is mostly linked to expansion, like g2g over and over. Putting them in cold storage is like hitting pause on the culture.
