Healing Oakland... What's up with your sig? Really?

Yes. Really.

Cultivation, sale and distribution is decriminalized in Oakland. I run a co-op of like minded growers. We network regularly, trade genetics, and do all the things other cultivators do in the dark, or on the internet, right out in the open relatively speaking. There was even a number of us that participated in a couple recent Psilocybin Cups. I am not soliciting anything outside of the rules for the forums to the best of my knowledge, and how we network in PMs and IRL in our decrim zone is up to us. You good?

Maybe someone should donate some better mushrooms laced with positive vibes to our brother in cult here, because apparently his healing fungi ain't hitting right for him... QM, if you find yourself in my neck of the woods, I got you covered brah.

Lol bro I'm hella covered and I don't need to spam the Shroomery trying to recruit people. If everyone's cooler with what your doing, this is bringing in a new age for the Shroomery. I know many of you are from the bay area anyway.
Ya so profiteering on psilocybin is legal where you are, Tite?
Ya the dude who won the spring cup is a member here. Most the dudes who participate in that hype shit down there are fkboys anyway. It's all hype.

I do everything in the open in Oregon, I'm connected with several growers and event throwers here in the Portland area, where we treat it more like it is, medicine. Not down in party land drinking 40s and whatnot.im great. Funny the conversations you have in person with people compared to online. Noone talks to me like the Shroomery in public. But people talk pretty loud online so it's no surprise.

I think y'all need to seriously lay off the shrooms. Some of you act like literal fucking children.

Exactly. And it's another hill I'll die on. Maybe try adding more coir

Healing Oakland... Get sober, start a business, start a family, get back at me.
Whatever Oakland has going one will probably only last another year or two until programs like oregons take over the nation, not to say decrim won't progress. But this hypey, overpriced, 30 bucks a chocolate bar, 25 bucks a plate/swab, fuck around and find out, Doma selling bunk shit, all of it, snitching, ya that's right, I know whats up with bear and hyphae. I wouldn't touch hall with a ten foot pole. Clearnet, darkness, get lost. This is real community. Fuck a vendor, support your local farmer.

I used to only use coir. Now I use more verm than most and I've definitely noticed a difference. My subs don't dry out as fast with added verm. Saying that verm or coir hold more water is an invalid statement because the absorbance of either will depend entirely on the coir or verm that's used. Verm comes in different grades and coir will sometimes be powdery or fibrous.

When I was using coir only, I would give the surface of a freshly spawned tub a good mist and call it good. When I started using verm, I did that and all of my tubs ended up with more surface moisture than intended.

If you're getting good results doing shit the way that you're doing it and youre happy then keep doing that. Doesn't make it right or wrong.

If your subs during our too fast just add more water or close up airflow. Really as long as the c02 can escape that's all you need for most cubes, maybe not some finicky new albino shits. Just look at unmodded tubs or bag Tek. The moisture doesn't need to leave the tub if conditions are right. And if you add enough water you'll be fine.
I think alot of confusion comes from field capacity. Something I've had success with when using verm for sure. Field capacity with just coir will not work. I think that's a big part of the confusion in bods thread because it has the same amount of water for both recipes, the the coir alone one will hold more, hense why it seems dry if you add the same amount of water without verm.
And for the longest time I thought I was fucking up because I would do 1:5 coir to water and it would like stream out when I squeezed it. That's okay! It's necessary when using just coir. And I've brought this up before. As long as there is no puddling or pooling prior to full colonization you'll be fine. And you can always air it out if need be.
I used to most the surface too, now I just mist the walls and lids if it's tubs, nothing for bags
But I feel ya. Next thing you know you guys will be trying to add verm to sawdust and master's mix... Im done.

You don't have to be so hostile, man. You seem to catch a lot of shit from the majority of the people here. You're ignored by 8 people and constantly arguing with the ones that haven't ignored you yet. If you have a problem with the things that everybody says, and everybody has a problem with the things you say, don't you think thay maybe it's not them, it's you?

Just like yourself, we all have our own ways of getting shit done and doing so successfully. Just because your method differs from the next guys doesn't mean that either of you are wrong. If you're both getting good results then that's a win-win. Just relax. Shits's gonna be okay.

On a side note, I have noticed that using a little less water has resulted in the larger fruit. Same culture, same prep, same everything except whereas I normally use 650g coir, 3qts verm and 3900g water, I used 3250g water.

Anyone else notice this before?

I know this is probably a bad time to ask this but,.. if I'm going to top fruit some Pf Tek jars, can I just spray the dry verm layer and put a bag over the top? Or should I use new vermiculite? Or is there a better way to do this?

I got a really bacterial syringe, and I'm hoping to at least get something I can salvage for a print.

Dump the loose stuff off and spritz what remains with clean water very lightly once. Don't be afraid to finger off a little of the dry top stuff. It doesn't need to be that thick.

A baggie over the top would work fine in most climates/places. These are not "ideal" practices but you should get plenty of nice fruits if your cakes are pretty good and all you are aiming for is some nice fruits to munch or whatever. There are always infinite factors. This is the universe after all, if I am not mistaken.

rotnpins im fucking dying at the spoilers.

i have a question myself….

so VERY STUPID i was doing a late night PC run last night & passed out. again VERY STUPID & im lucky that i had the heat on pretty low & added an extra quart of water. PC ran for probably 5 hours give or take. there was still some water in the PC at the end so it didn’t run dry. first pic is what they look like normally, second pic is what this batch of grain looks like after the extended cycle. im assuming it got a bit over cooked, but are these unusable? they seem moist when i shook them, but they weren’t fully cool yet. not mushy or something
