Ahh shiet. Thanks, glad it's not just my luck.
At 20 days today. It's a bitch because I'm going on holiday in a week, I spawned it thinking I'd have a flush harvested before I left and possibly a 2nd by time I was back.

Dude I feel it. I had a solid couple flushes at first and I didn't time them, so I was like, that was nice, let's do more. Now I'm like 3 weeks in as well for a fair harvest, but I'm like, "I was expecting this like a week ago or more hahah.
Patience, the virtue.

Trying out some 1l pp containers for grain because I'm not a fan of disposable bags or anything disposable for that matter. Too many rusted lids and rings all over the place and pp screw top lids are very difficult to find here.

Yeh they're pp 5 lids and container, they have a recessed rim that the lid snaps into.
I've used the smaller containers successfully that seal the same way so I don't doubt they'll be fine.

They're not airtight though; if I squeeze them I can hear air suck in and out. May be good to pc as is covered in tinfoil but I have a few trials to do before just jumping in.
@Sandman420, they're a brand called Fino but I think it's only a South African brand. We get our feta cheese in these clip seal tubs, that got me thinking after I noticed the no.5

Just found my old print collection, anybody know what TPO and TKS could stand for?
I feel nostalgic af right now. I got one of those trading card holders for them, just pulled them all out and sitting on the floor re-organizing them by alphabet. Will fuck me off when I gotta add shit in-between in the future. Busting 2017 Kodak Black feel like a kid sorting my Pokémon cards out.
If I get hyperfixated on this further I might get the label printer out and bag and label each one nicely lol

Hey pins I've read somewhere on this site about people taking like a bottle cap heat it wipe well with alcohol then set it over the trouble spot to try to contain if contam but I haven't tried this nor do I know how far can be into your sub just fyi

They look pretty good. You could give that one a shake to speed it along. If they are recovering from shakes, then I would say they are healthy.
This is my Rusty white shoebox. Decent pinset coming in, but it looks like some blobs too. Wasn’t away it was a blobbing culture. I used a low ratio because I wasn’t used to the wispy look of the RA mycelium do I didn’t trust it. Anyone else get blobs with RW. I’m unsure of it’s lineage.

Alright, so these newer strains that are out there, Tidalwave, Rusty, Albino Cambodians and such:
Are they actual strain hybrids, or isolated genetics that pop out consistent looking ones from a spore print?

Tidalwave and Rusty Whytes are stabilised crosses.
Albino Cambodian would have been isolated from a Cambodian grow where an albino fruit appeared.

^ Dope, is this the appropriate tek?
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26254384/fpart/1/vc/1
On another note, is an Instant Pot enough for Agar work? It is what I have been doing, and I have great success. ANy contam is virtually due to some hiding bacteria that I have gotten rid of.
that being said, if I am somehow not getting them sterilized after 45 mins at probaly 12psi that might be an issue

Is shaking the jar necessary or only to speed up the process?

They’ll probably turn into pins, RW likes to start out like that for some reason.
Instant pot is perfect for agar.
Shaking speeds up colonization and also helps reveal any contam that might be in there. Usually if something is wrong the jar won’t recover well.
