No doubt brotha.
Same thing around here very much as well. Oh how I hate mainstream yuppies and their need to proove to the world that they are indeed living their life by their own means.
But sadly people do care, young, impressionable minds care very much so... Uhg... If only those young minds knew they're paying someone else's bills with their short attention spans, and prolonging their own slow demise by doing nothing for themselves because their so worried about fulfilling someone else's, and their own, misguided expectation.
Like shit how many more videos can that guy do? Before it gets super rehashed and stale? Will the youngest kids even noticed?
That goes for just about anything too. Everyone wants to be a aprt of something, but very few know why, and hopefully they figure it out before they end up somewhere they shouldn't be.
"" They live their lives so out of touch with reality and base every one of their actions on how many likes, subscribers, viewers they get.
So true And sad.

I know I've already asked this before, (I promise I'll write it down this time) how much LME do you use for LC?
Also, I know that SSLC is beneficial for grain jars, but do you think it would help with PFTek jars or should I just stick to regular LC?

I'm doing a half g per 100ml, so .5%
I wouldn't do sslc on something you can't mix, the gellyness will probably keep it all uptop and not allow myc to travel as far as you'd hope.

I have the same sentiment with all the people who can't stop taking fucking selfies and have the need to document every fucking thing they do as if anyone actually fucking cares. I live in the hipster bar district and one of the bars painted some wings on their wall and there is a constant line of identically dressed girls with their boyfriends waiting to take pictures. Then directly across the street is a building with weird shit set up in it 100% SO PEOPLE CAN PAY ADMISSION TO COME IN AND TAKE SELFIES!! You don't know how badly I want to paint a giant dick on the wings or burn that place down.
I might know what area you're talking about. Either way, half the time I drive past the huge line of sorority clones I slow down and point and laugh hyaterically

I am very proud to announce that I was on vacation recently and didn’t take a single picture of myself. Thank you, please clap. The guy also seems like a pretty good example of the psychedelic ego effect. Where you eat mush to dissolve your ego, but it actually grows cause you think you’re hot shit for being able to take large doses of psychedelics.
Imma say it. The largest dose I ever did was about 200ug of lsd and it ripped my socks off so hardcore that I couldn’t even imagine doing a heroic dose or something

So, there is some talk here about preparing for the second flush. Half of my tubs end up having some gushy stumps. If we set aside "its your spawn" (which of course it might be) What actions might I be taking to cause a stump to get mushy/soupy/bluegooey?

Large doses of acid are way different than “heroic doses” of mushrooms, I’d say. With the mushrooms my brains can get scrambled , with the acid I feel like my head is a little bit more clear. If that makes any sense at all.. lol

I've also noticed that there seems to be a tendency to jump the gun and say "it's mold/bacteria" based on shitty pics. Anyone else see a tendency to jump the gun there?... especially when noobs reply? I know that TC's replies are usually on point though. Just my random thought this morning... I'm hopped up on coffee so... mush love
No takers? I will say that I am still a noob as well. I just hate to see viable jars get tossed because some...person... enjoys saying "toss `em, they're fucked".
I see all sorts of hasty misdiagnosis of mold/bacteria. People tend to think with their critter brains. People also get chemical rewards from their internet doings and some folk need to be "right". You are not alone in your observations.
In the common vernacular on the shroomery at the moment, my observation is that few people actually know what the word "mold" means and fewer people understand what the word "mycelium" means.

Is it safe to eat shrooms from tub with some grey mould??? It looks nearly like mycelium but it smells a little bit bitter and mouldy. Although in this monotub there are a lot of pins and shrooms. Casing layer were probably too wet..

So I was explaining to a friend who started a few shoeboxes recently that with growing cubes they get all the nutrition they need from the grains and there's no reason to try one of those crazy Instagram substrate recipes that the substrate is really only to hold water. It got me thinking since I've seen it posted that the grain is more then enough nutrition how much could say 1qt of grain provide until it's all used up completely? I know it's not practical but if we were able to use every bit of nutrients out of the grain. I also know it depends highly on the culture being used so there's no real answer but is 1qt of grain enough food to grow 5 or 6 dry oz in a perfect scenario? Any input would be cool just curious is all.

They are generally safe to eat the mushrooms out of the tub as long as it's not growing directly from the mold or like right next to it almost touching it. If you want to be extra safe you can make tea out of those fruits with boiling water for extra piece of mind.
