Since we’re talking liquid culture: I’ve only made agar so far, not LC. Is there a reason to need those special modifications? If I end up with LC in a jar, could I just open it inside a SAB to suck it up with a sterile syringe and needle? And then just open the grain jar inside a SAB to squirt the LC into it?
Having pretty decent success rates with agar I feel that making LC should be easy, but each time I try to read up on the process I get intimidated.

You don't need a filter on lc. I think mushboy runs lc without a filter and pours it into the receiving jars iirc

This may be helpful to some. Maybe not.
Something I've been doing for a minute with my bags. I HATE how the gasket maker falls off half my bags before I even touch them. And I hate the idea of having to blow money at Amazon for something that'll be in the trash in a few weeks. So this has worked decently for me, also my contamination rate hasn't gone up at all. Anyway, prep all your stuff and wipe everything down with isopropyl. Cut some small pieces of gorilla glue duct tape and just BARLEY stick a corner on something handy where you're working. Hit your needle with the torch or induction. You know the drill. Once ready, just stick it through the bag into the grain. Noc it up, and then seal the tiny hole with above mentioned tape. It's just something I've been doing lately. And it seems to work. I know it's low tech and whatever. But might help someone since the subject has been brought up.

It's no different than pouring plates in a sab.
Like I said, a trusted cultivator does it. Here is the tek.

Lunchbox is right you don't need to modify lids for LC, or for grain jars for that matter. Lids are backed off slightly when PCing so they dont seal

Or you can use the plastic lids and just keep the threading a little loose... same with media bottles.

Does anyone here use whatever size/shape tub they feel like? I’ve been using 6qt shoeboxes (mushboys tek) for the last 150+ boxes.
I don’t have enough 6qt boxes left but have a bunch spawn ready to mix. For example if I had a 12qt tub, would I just double the “recipe?”

Yeah. You can grow in pretty much anything provided you know how ratios work and you know what to look for regarding surface conditions.

Nah for real this looks like trich, toss that shit asap.
That is absolutely not trichoderma of any variety. If that was trichoderma it would be sporing all over it's self by that point and the spores wouldn't be white.
Not saying it's not mold but it is not trich.

I make up a litre of LC and draw it off to 100x 10ml syringes. When I'm pulling that litre out of the jar what do you think is replacing it because I sure as hell ain't pulling a litre of vacuum.
The air that goes into the LC vessel needs to be FILTERED so as not to contaminate the LC. Please stop with your massively incorrect information. You clearly haven't worked with LC.

Yeah you need a filter if you’re drawing LC into a syringe for sure.
Otherwise a filtered lid is definitely not needed for LC.
As for the vacuum it pulls when you open it in an SAB. This will only happen if you tighten the lid while the liquid is still hot. Leave it in the PC til it’s cooled and problem solved.
I’ve not used a filtered lid on LC for almost 18 months and had probably like a 5% contam rate.
If you leave a decent head of air inside your LC vessel ie only half fill it, that’s all the air it needs to grow out.

If you'd read my previous posts you'd see I was talking about pouring lc.
